“Those people” tend to drift to the internet to see what the heck happened. And with all that investigation, they get their minds all filled with knowledge and facts, and other nasty things. Then, they form an opinion, perhaps have waves of what they call “revelation”, and then they get a glazed look in their eyes.
Kind of like the Return of the Living Dead movies.
The Black Bloc in a show where the phone rings in the ambulance and the zombie says, “Send more Paramedics”. Yep, they’ve gone mad. Gotta stop ‘em zombie conspiracy dudes. More jails to contain these ‘problems’.
So choose Canada. Support the filling of the new jails that are to be built by our P.M. and his new majority or don’t.
And hang in there if your neighbor turns conspiracy zombie too. Don’t let it get to you. Hang on as long as you can.
This is a game, and whether you like it or not you are a player. But they need you to keep turning a blind eye to those that become whacky, and remember, they deserve what they get.

Go away conspiracy theorist!
Sure, you might have read the recent article in the May 23rd, 2011 edition of Maclean’s Magazine, on bin Laden and the ‘Culture of Conspiracy’. Ewwwww… which side are you on “Conspiracy Theorist“?
They’ll scrap the long-gun registry, and sign on for 65 F-35 fighter jets, and build a lot more jails.
Don’t question that move Canadian, unless you want to be a conspiracy theorist. Our leader has his majority now, so accept it, do not question, and hope all is good for a long, long time.
Obvious which side Maclean’s is on. But don’t let me tell you what to believe you conspiracy theorist, you dirtbag. You who has lost your mind, perhaps your marriage, and is living now on donations! Don’t let me tell you what is politically correct, and what the majority is thinking; and if you think that way you must be becoming paranoid. No, don’t let me sway your decision to have a right to look into evidence and form an opinion.
Just know one thing conspiracy theorist – -what we want you to know — the moment, yes the very moment you start to pay attention to things around here that challenge the government or the governments of the world, and the very second you think for a milisec that the government may not tell you 100% truth, you are, dare I say, a full-fledged, whackjob conspiracy theorist! Okay?
Don’t pay attention to the fact that Anwar al_Awlaki dined at the Pentagon shortly after 9/11. Forget that, conspiracy theorist, and just tune-in to when the media says he is a huge threat, and Canadians are a threat too if they have any business with him. The Pentagon? Forget it, they are okay because they are the Pentagon. They are allowed to give the guy a dinner. If you did it – - terrorist!
Don’t for God’s sake, look into the idea that al-Qaeda is a CIA creation. That would lead to more thought. And thought, well, that gets you into trouble my friend.
The key to staying in good stead is to not pay attention to anything except the official stories the governments tell you. Then you will be politically correct, stay off the watch lists, and not be a conspiracy theorist.
So go ahead, read the article in Macleans magazine on the Culture of Conspiracy (sorry, not yet available online!), and if you are smart, you will snub your nose at those that have gone from father, mother, architect, military official, doctor, and all other walks of “normal” life to the dark side. Yes, that’s what we’re talking about, the dark side of becoming a conspiracy theorist, because that explains the state of crazy mind of anyone that doesn’t believe that the government is good, and caring, and looking out for you. Remember the words of Glenn Beck, you are not one of those are you?
They are so caring that the Harper government is going to build more jails as a primary initiative now that most Canadians were trusting enough to vote for him, and give him the control he needs to implement that decision.
But when you starve the education system and the kinds of supports that build healthy families (definitely the first things chopped under conservative or right-wing governments) you’re going to get more social problems.
And while Dalton McGuinty has washed his hands of guilt for the injustice to Canadians rallying in protest to the banking system at the G20 meeting, McGuinty was quick to point to Harper. Hmm, the very same Harper that wants to build more jails. Hmmm, well what about more funding for student loans, healthcare, other things good for the Canadians that trust him? No, sorry folks, more jails is the priority.
And how did I know he wants to build more jails for the nasties in Canada?
Well, that’s easy, I read that article in Maclean’s before reading why a conspiracy theorist has lost his mind.
I just have one question and one worry. If I say Harper wants to build more jails, does that make me a conspiracy theorist?
And, I don’t know if this makes me a conspiracy theorist, but I do agree with the words eloquently pointed out:
So you need to build more jails. And if you build more jails, you need to find some way to fill them. Did you know the US spends more on jails than it does on education? That the state of California in the last decade laid off 10,000 teachers but hired 10,000 more prison guards?
Golly, and as I try not to think the way of the nasty conspiracy theorist, I can’t help but drift back into thinking that the article telling us it is dangerous politics to challenge a government, your government; that there is a chance that the new criminal may be a criminal of the mind — a thought criminal.
And, those thought criminals would not be cold blooded, maximum security types, but they could be the types that would have protested the “new world” as Harper has told us, that Canada has to give up it’s sovereignty because that’s just the way the world is now. What was that again? A global reality? Something like that.
Well, I can certainly see where a media source like Maclean’s would have to paint a picture of the new, low risk criminal worthy of jail space.
Those conspiracy theorists that pose a threat to government, who challenge the leaders whether they are truthful or not.
And remember, Maclean’s would like you to believe they are as “fair and balanced” as Fox News in the U.S.. Yep, they have not reported with a negative spin on conspiracy theorists before, nope, not a chance. Nope, they make sure they give you the facts without trying to shape your opinion with various hit pieces over time. Because, if they did that, they would be challenged on their motives, and might be questioned on who they serve.
Those nasty conspiracy theorists might form a group called people for media truth or some such thing.
Don’t question media Canada, no more so than questioning government. Take both as 100% gospel truth. And, those jails you will simply drive by, not occupy.
And that would go double for journalists turned conspiracy theorists that don’t buy everything the government tells them too. Too bad, they could have been a contenda!
I wonder if some reporters for Maclean’s were treated poorly at the G20 too. Just wondering, because they may be creating a nightmare for themselves too. Just a thought.

Pathetic people, pathetic.
Look at all the NHL waste in the deep southern U.S. But let me guess, those are “bigger markets” than the relatively small market of Edmonton. Do we have that right?
In Tampa Bay, you can get nosebleed season tickets for a whopping $5.43 per game (yes that’s right people in Toronto, that decimal is two places from the right – - you got it!). Toonie movie Tuesdays may have some competition after all!
In Phoenix Glendale, excuse me, you can get that same Tampa experience for $10.73 per game. Still not bad.
How about Edmonton? You know, the small market team that will have to build a new arena to stay sustainable? That will be $31.53, or almost 6 times the Tampa deal, and almost 3 times more expensive than for the Coyotes.
It’s called market demand, and what someone is willing to pay. It also means that hockey in Phoenix is a little more popular (perhaps) than hockey in Tampa, but by no means is it as popular as in Edmonton.
So, the Edmonton fans are willing to part with more money as an entertainment choice than the two other markets mentioned above.
And that brings us to this point: How can Gary Bettman and Daryl Katz tell us that to sustain the hockey franchise you will have to build a new arena?
Put another way, why is Gary Bettman not saying to Glendale that hockey is not sustainable with these revenue streams in Glendale?
The only factor that makes it okay to live with NHL welfare in Glendale is the fact that the team was put there with the development of the Westgate Arena District.
What, therefore makes Glendale worth preserving is the “deal” that was put in place to build the arena and the development with a city-owned arena similar to that planned for Edmonton.
Revenue streams are a complex issue I am sure Gary Bettman would tell us. He continually mentions these words to explain why these new complexes and infrastructures must be built. In other words, Katz who made his money in pharmacies, and Bettman who is a lawyer and sports league commissioner are suddenly experts in urban planning.
Like they have looked at the demographic of Edmonton? They studied the flow of immigration and how residents are attracted to the city? They have looked at the social costs and issues that are competing with the all important “revenue dollars” of Edmonton, and can immediately, with conviction say this is how taxpayer funds should be spent? Really?!?
I like to call a con a con.
The truth is they have something to sell and the issue of answering the objections to their “sell” is how this will truly be money well spent. How will it benefit the city compared to other investments? Taking hockey away from Edmonton is the emotional sell that is supposed to cloud better judgement. The threat is often mentioned strategically to let its audience say, “Well, if it means we don’t lose hockey, then I guess we had better go with it, something, anything, as long as we keep our Oilers!”
There’s a term for this type of persuasion – - it’s called Coercion! Here’s the state of your city Edmonton, and if you don’t do this, then you will be worse off, you will likely lose a lot – - the hockey team, the “world-class status”. In short, you will become losers! You don’t want to be losers do you? We don’t mean this year’s record of the Oilers either. We mean real losers. Nobody will want to come here from other parts of the world for education. You won’t be able to get businesses to locate here, and yada, de, dada, dada day!
Daryl Bonar who ran for mayor in 2010 said he was not a big fan of PPP (Public-Private Partnerships).
We have a lot more digging to do, but we will leave you with this for the moment, Gary Bettman has said that the Goldwater Group are not elected officials, and if they want to make an impact they are not part of Glendale’s City Council.

So, Goldwater should not be suggesting what belongs in another department so to speak?
So why are you and Katz telling Edmonton how to spend its tax dollars, and how did you guys become experts in urban planning, development, and tax planning?
I think there are other people whose noses are now out of joint.
It’s all about tapping that taxpayer with publicly-owned arenas and more important providing revenue streams of taxpayer debt payments to a bunch of guys nobody will ever truly see.
When Katz was questioned why he didn’t just build the arena with his own money, he had all kinds of reasons, the least of which was just how complex and mind-blowing the financing would be. Yes, paying into perpetuity is the goal Mr. Katz, isn’t it? Getting at the taxpayer bucks.
If Katz owns the team, why doesn’t he own the arena and leave the taxpayers alone? Why do they delve into other areas of urban development as well. It’s hockey he is the owner of right? Don’t do this mega complex and the Oilers disappear? Hello, anybody out there?!?
Yeah, just how complex those “revenue streams” must be as Gary Bettman explains it as an excuse to why arenas need to be built. Impossible to figure out for the average shmo. And that’s the whole point, isn’t it?

Think back to how fast the Winnipeg team was swept out from under the feet of the good people of Winnipeg. And let’s be clear, I am not one of those good people. I am not from Winnipeg. But, after all this time, I feel like a brother. I feel like the moment I cross the border into Manitoba, it will feel like going to a friend’s house, where his mom asks if you would like to stay for dinner, and although it’s Canada, there’s “an apple pie in the oven”, and boy does it smell good.
Matthew Hulsizer caught wind it would seem that the NHL may have a further trick up its sleeve to sell to someone, anyone, at drastically reduced prices, because although they need revenue to cover losses, they may not want to admit what might be the bigger kettle of fish facing them.
It may not be about getting value for a franchise as the facade being displayed to the hockey world. Something tells me that if the powers that be say hockey will remain at Jobing.com arena, the gods have spoken. Hockey will remain!
Those encumbrances were not part of the picture for Winnipeg way back when in 1996 (it was then, wasn’t it?). You can look up some old video on YouTube where a lady in a bar is seen saying why should the team take tax dollars away from the City of Winnipeg when we have starving homeless people on the street?
That’s just it, isn’t it? Why should a sports league demand a situation where cities are held hostage? Well, one might consider this: Is it the NHL that has taken on more than it can chew in Glendale with whomever holds those nasty Jobing.com bonds? Worth repeating, the lawyers for the City of Glendale mentioned in court that if they lost the team, another hockey team would have to replace it.
Okay, search everyone, search. Where’s the legal arrangement that is holding everyone hostage? It’s so bad, that things will become even more obvious.
What if there are a bunch of rich dudes in Abu Dhabi that are jumping up and down, adamant that this get fixed, or else!
Hulsizer is scratching his head. Hey, wait a minute, why would the NHL sell this team for less than what it offered it to me?, he might be thinking. Would he be then getting ripped off? What’s up with that?
Well, Mr. H should remember Jim Balsillie’s offer that was but wasn’t $212.5 million. Or was it higher? Eh, doesn’t matter really, because unless it was a bajillion dollars it would not satisfy the “sales tax” hound investors likely!
According to the Bet man, the offsets and credits would make it a much lesser number, but it didn’t matter. Probably it didn’t matter because it wasn’t a bajillion “walk away” dollars. It was probably about 87.5 % shy of breaking even to break out of the deal. How much cash is in the NHL vaults? Uh oh!
And unlike the Military Industrial Complex that can raise bucks by telling us all that a guy in a beard hiding in a well-ventilated cave is a threat, the Sports Industrial Complex has to do it by creating a “fear war” that a franchise is not viable if you don’t go along with taxpayer-buck-sucking developments fronted often by owners coming across as “good generous guys“. Oh my, they are so nice to make our city world class! Hurrah for the big complex that the Mayor is just wondering why there aren’t any details for – -hurray!! Find the money quick – - keep those investment savages happy – - hurry !
To admit the team must, by some agreement somewhere be kept in Glendale would suggest there are investors behind the scenes that didn’t exist in Winnipeg.
Things happened a whole lot differently where there were no incumbrances, eh?
That huge sucking sound was the arena and the team draining down the bathtub hole – — squish shoomp – - good to the last drop, get over it Winnipeg, pretend we never were here! I think I could see Gary and Bill in their overalls on the back of the moving truck attaching the sticker “Phoenix or bust”.
Okay the verdicts in — it’s BUST!
The next rabbit up the sleeve might be even more telling and embarrassing for the embattled Commissioner: What if he has to sell at any price to keep the team in Glendale because those investors won’t budge? What if those investors are going to get that sales tax related revenue by cracky or it’s going to get Coyote ugly for the NHL, and all the good boys that put this stinkin‘ deal together? Ouch!
Might lead to a very weary Commissioner feeling a little less than happy to have his job right about now. The house of cards, she’s a shakin’ no?
The option is “whatever someone might pay, right Mr. B?:
“I will not say today when the end is and I will not set a deadline. But at some point, we may have no choice but to begin pursuing our other alternatives,” he said. “We have options but I’m not going to discuss them.”
A rock bottom price might be negative $40 million.
That’s right, pay us $40 million a year and we will put our name on the ownership papers, because wasn’t that what the team lost on pure hockey operations this year?
And, let’s look at the parking thing.
Goldwater says that the City has rights to parking, and the City is saying the team does. Someone call Jerry Moyes…..“Jerry Moyes to the stand, the plaintiff calls Jerry Moyes”. “Mr. Moyes, did you know you had rights to parking even though you asked repeatedly, and the City of Glendale never returned your phone calls?”
That would mean Goldwater stayed awake during this two-year merry-go-round.
Let’s see, there was Jerry Moyes trying to hang on to the team asking for parking rights – - nope, City no talky to Jerry (Moyes that is, the other Jerry, different treatment).
Ellman wanted to dip into parking at some point too. Sorry Mr. E.
Reinsdorf came with concession list in hand like a kid at Christmas laying out the cookies and milk for Santa. Nope, not even the White Knight can pull it off. Bye Jerry, see ya buddy!
The “low-lying fruit” that Ice Edge had included in their thinking that would get this off the ground, including parking, we were not supposed to remember? Man, no wonder the NHL was so quick to want to get this resolved in court, but as soon as the case was over – - they put the brakes on, and went back in the huddle for a year and a half or so. Problemo amigo!
And, the rabbit that Glendale hopes is in the hat to solidify their case is parking?
They were hoping the Goldwater Group would not remember the charade of parking concessions paraded up and down every single offer as crucial to make the deals fly?
Is it any wonder Goldwater wants to do a joint press conference with Gary Bettman, but Bettman will not fight the losing battle?
So, if the last rabbit from the hat is Glendale cutting the bond offer, and the NHL will have to give away the ship because of the men in Abu Dhabi it would be so sweet poetic justice wouldn’t it?
It would mean the NHL and Glendale’s only other option would be to maybe pay those mystery men $720 million - – the lease break penalty and hope they go away. Then Glendale could sue the NHL, but then they would be up against every sport like football and basketball, and all other sports that tap into taxpayer dollars. Well maybe not basketball, Phoenix would have that problem.
Yeah, the Goldwater Group might just look at the Sports Industrial Complex and see it is just a means to separate people from their money. Is it a wonder so many hockey owners also run the horses and Casinos?
See – - nobody lies! They tell us exactly what it’s all about, we just choose not to see the monopoly of wealth suckers because they go by the title of sports owners, foreign investors, investment bankers, and on and on.
Don’t pay attention Goldwater to the fact that all the sports teams were behind keeping the Coyotes in Glendale. They were so nice to support a friend in the NHL. It makes us all warm and fuzzy, doesn’t it? Yeah, they had no reason to support the location of a franchise built on land and urban planning, no. It was all just the “principle of the thing”. Mmmmm hmmm.
So Mr. Hulsizer, if you can find even a little cash on your own, here’s a hint, forget the bond offer, do us a favor and help us show just how desperate and helpless the NHL really is on this one.
And at that point, the jig will officially be up!
It was a tough decision. Do I go with the above quote for the title of this article, or do I use the other equally interesting and loaded quote of Mr. Gary Bettman, ” I quite frankly don’t know who the people there report to or accountable to”.
Well, one thing is clear, they don’t answer to the same people Mr. Bettman answers to, and they aren’t concerned about anything other than making sure the taxpayers aren’t getting the shaft. I can see how that could get confusing for some people.
For Olsen of the Goldwater Group a private meeting wasn’t enough sweet battatas. Bettman did not want to do a joint press conference.
Darcy Olsen, head of the Goldwater Group, can probably see when a payoff is sweet. Come on to a press conference with me Mr. Bettman, she must be thinking to herself. Let’s tell the good people what’s really up. It’s probably like when you get to work in the morning, and the 60 Minutes news crew is waiting in your office. Oh, dang!
The issue he was addressing Tuesday night was the Goldwater Group’s insistence to stick to their principles; their mandate to protect the taxpaying public.
Uh oh! Can you see the wheels spinning folks? Do you think the “game” is being called by the Goldwater Group? Have the shenanigans of the NHL and their urban development deck of cards been met by the windstorm so to speak? Is it all ready to blow over, becoming exposed?
When Gary Bettman served Jerry Moyes proxies for the league’s assistance, he told Ron McLean on HNIC that it was to stop him from doing anything radical.
Let’s think for a moment. If this league had nothing to hide, why would there be need for proxies from the Commissioner to one of the “partners” in the club that supposedly should be privy to the privilege of deciding where arenas get built, etc, etc? Would the rules be have been different for Jerry Moyes because he wasn’t in on the “development pie”?
Was Quebec City and Winnipeg told to build new arenas or we’ll send one of the teams to Phoenix where they were never sure hockey in 105 degree heat would really heat up? Why take hockey away from hockey-crazed Canadians and see if it works in the deep south, for no better reason that I can think of, than to look for the City willing to sell out to urban development?
There’s a sucker born every minute you know. The real sales job was finding that sucker, and they did in the City of Glendale. The NHL has contributed to building a deck of cards, and the only way to keep everyone happy is to continue to build.
They may have lost focus on the fans.
It would sure explain why hockey went where hockey is not popular. Why the bottom teams have to suck off the fat of where true profits lie — in the great White North (cu-loo-coo-cu-cu-coo-cu-coo!). Why the teams in the south will always need approved welfare. Where it made no sense to most of us, it makes perfect sense, in the sense, that it may never have been about hockey operations making a profit on pure hockey operations.
Where owners were truly not happy with just getting in the green because ticket sales were greater than player salaries. The salary cap is a joke.
And so, Tuesday night, Commissioner Bettman had his bluff called. The Goldwater Group wants to air to the world, without ability to read well-written speeches, that they believe this sports league has overstepped its bounds and is taking advantage of the residents and taxpayers of a City.
The Goldwater Group knows exactly what it has here.
Ironically, we laughed at the City of Glendale’s seemingly feeble legal team and argument in court. Glendale likely laughed at Goldwater.
Who’s laughing now?
To close, let’s watch the low-key Mr. Bettman tell Edmonton why they need to cough up the big tax bucks. And for God’s sake, is he trying the “sustainability as a franchise” garbage still in Canada – - the home of hockey? Surely Mr. Bettman is aware that argument is wearing thin! And Bettman has the gall to hold the card that he will pull the plug on the Oilers if a new arena is not built??! Not a threat, eh?
So where does he propose to build the next white elephant instead?!
Where is the priority? Putting hockey where market demands, or is the real money in land and urban development? It’s time we take that to a “press conference” of the NHL. The sooner the better, for the sake of the fans and the game!
It’s quite baffling how he admits the truth, but in a way that has most of us buying into the con. Is he ready to air to the world all the evidence to show who holds bonds behind the scenes, and open up the books to the profits that surround the game? Didn’t think so!
We could look at the comment that the Coyotes were never in jeopardy, and the notion was silly, when you factor in the true source of revenues. Silly us – - the taxpayers were going to pay the freight for the true “revenue streams”, right Mr. B? Masterful means to tell us the truth while we were sleeping. A marvel!

More like, the fans are broke, the State is broke, and the U.S. is broke.
U.S. unemployment is jokingly and pathetically posted at 9. (something) %. Want the truth, things are so bad people have given up looking for work — they aren’t part of the numbers. True unemployment is conservatively well over 20%.
Discerning fans may be choosing food or overpriced NHL hockey….hmmmm let’s think - – Food wins!
The days of overpriced athletics is going quickly by way of the DoDo bird.
In the short run, Canada will be the newfound hero, where suddenly, with the Canadian buck priced over the U.S. greenback, there will not be the argument that the players are paid in U.S. dollars. Soon the NHLPA will be negotiating the players be paid in Yuan or Renminbi, or how about gold or silver coins? Players in the NHL may be looking at how much their pay is worth, similar to the way we look at how gas prices look ’cause the tank is low, and well, can I hang on ’till tomorrow?
Gary Bettman perhaps saw the future a long time ago. Those deep pocketed guys that were easy to abuse like Jerry Moyes are long gone. The groups of 10, 12, heck 25 won’t cut it either.
Perhaps they should sell shares of the NHL teams at the arena by the same vendors that sell programs. I can hear it now, Programs, shares, get your ownership here!

Yes, this is a story of the Phoenix Coyotes hockey team.
The team whose name it was suggested should be changed to the Glendale Coyotes if it were to be sold, to give it a truer name. After all, it was no longer located in Phoenix – it was for the last several years in Glendale.
Canadians are looking upon the disaster in the U.S. economy with similar “distance”. Yeah, it’s really too bad the Americans are having a hard time. Good thing we live in Canada.
And, did you happen to catch President Obama’s State of the Union address last night? I haven’t yet, but I read a short recap. He has “challenged” business to step it up in “some way”. At this point it’s all just watching his lips move, and hearing sound come out, because it’s all hooey isn’t it?
I get around on my job. I can’t believe what I am hearing lately. We in Canada get it more than I thought. We could be waking up too.
Perhaps we are not like Glendale saying how great they are for hockey compared to Phoenix. Glendale must be safer, being so much further removed from the Mexican drug wars. Or is it, I don’t know.
Kind of silly if you ask me. Silly because nobody is going to escape what is happening globally, not just locally.
Europeans are feeling the heat. They are rioting. Politicians in charge keep flapping their lips the world over, and sound comes out of their mouths. But their talk does not match the reality of what we see, backed up by the gut feeling we have that something is really not right.
Hockey isn’t right unfortunately for the people of Phoenix, er excuse me, Glendale. Unfortunate but true.
The entire region is a reflection of what is inevitable unless we as North Americans, and global citizens step to the plate and stand for the rights and safety of our neighbors – whether they are in the next City, the next Province/State, or the next country, continent, or timezone.
It’s thinking that we somehow will not be affected and we are more deserving because we are better prepared to take care of the spoils than our “unfortunate” neighbour.
Winnipeg may be in a better position to take on the Coyotes, or Thrashers, or whichever team for now, as the country known as the U.S. enters the result of what the corrupt in government have directed as puppets. Behind the scenes pulling the strings of the talking head politicians are the the elite looking to destroy the people, their rights, their freedoms, and their borders.
While the elite have cleared out to South America, China, and other remote places, they didn’t bother to tell anyone they also left the system of lies for the rest of us. While they invest in hard assets like gold and silver (and buy land over water aquifers), they direct the media they control to tell us the stock markets are fine, and don’t pay attention to the rumors that hyperinflation is a heartbeat away. No, they want to ensure more of us are left high and dry when the sudden collapse of the empire takes place. Isn’t that right, Mr. Ferguson?
I think I can here Wimpy, only instead of hamburgers, let’s look at the futures contracts accumulating for March in the silver markets. Put off to tomorrow instead of facing the music today. Even the Gold futures suggest at least a 20 to 25% gain to December. We all know with the QE2, and beyond, that doesn’t even factor in the panic buying that will inevitably take place.
How long will the words of Stephen Harper be insignificant words, where his lips flapped, and sound came out, until we realize we should have questioned those words, sentences, and phrases?
How long will it be before we realize that they are slipping an agenda by us as we continue to sleep? Like a post- hypnotic suggestion our psyche is yelling – “Hello, danger, danger”. Yeah, something doesn’t feel right, because something just isn’t right. It’s not about butterflies for crying out loud!
Obama’s lips will continue to move, and sound will come out – - all the while supporting Mexican trade and co-operation, even though the war further invades American soil.
Obama will continue to bow to world leaders such as China, as they come and play piano concertos that include how great their victory over America is.
While they tell us that it is a global economy, they tell us to not even trust our neighbours because they could be terrorists. While global should mean free movement, they are installing full naked body scanners at airports, suggesting that mere travel is hazardous.
They are isolating us more, while telling us to branch out to the world.
How will they pull off selling us this conflict in ideas, and get us to agree to whatever it is they are trying to accomplish?
Well, doesn’t hockey bring the answer again.
If you have any experience with kids hockey you might have experience with the ever-challenging “rep tryout” process. The kids and the parents act very accommodating to the powers that decide if the kid makes the team or not, don’t they?
I don’t think I will ever forget the suggestion from a coach that said it plainly. As long as you don’t cut my kid, sorry about the luck of the others.
The suggestion is that parents, kids, and people in general will sacrifice standing up for the rights of others if it means they get spared themselves. Sad yes. True – unfortunately yes.
The powers in the world have known this for years. Hitler was a master at ensuring this process started with a few targets, and eventually it didn’t matter who was put “on the train”. It was all just a process to see who would buy the propaganda, and how easily manipulated the people would be. And, we know they were.
Glendale needs to understand that their town is not immune to the turmoil in Arizona that is affecting Phoenix. Winnipeg needs to understand that the spoils of NHL hockey is because a global neighbour has suffered greatly, and the spoils will be short lived if we are willing to turn our backs on the injustice.
Eventually this infection will affect us all. It already has.
It’s time to challenge the politicians whose lips move, and sounds come out for what this really is. It’s time to wonder why there are telescreens in Wal-Marts suggesting Americans should spy on their American neighbours while Obama ignores the threat of drug wars blatantly crossing Mexico into Arizona. It doesn’t add up.
If we opened our eyes to reality, the pictures might have underlying words that paint a story far removed from what they are telling us.
