A tale of two ‘Jerry’s: This case has gotten rather ‘taxing’

If the NHL approves Reinsdorf over Ice Edge, the fans of Phoenix will know that the NHL was never their” friend”

The court case for ownership was merely a "blip". We are back to the original plan for an NHL that could care less about the fans of Phoenix

If you are named Jerry with a last name of Reinsdorf, you are in luck!

But, if you are named Jerry, but have the surname Moyes, not so much.

Come to think of it, if Jerry Reinsdorf wins the bid and is the approved owner for the Phoenix Coyotes, then we will have come full circle. The court case of Jerry Moyes’ against the NHL several months ago would have served to merely delay the agenda that was prescribed so long ago.

Reinsdorf was more than likely the chosen one. The NHL likely has full plan to move the team from the desert to another desert location (Vegas), or another prescribed location.

To claim that Ice Edge, which, despite the lack of wealth, is not the better team in this scenario is wrong on several fronts. One, they impose less of a financial burden on the beleaguered residents/taxpayers that are reeling from oppression as it is, with the goings on in the federal government at the hand of President Obama.

But as David Shoalts of the Globe and Mail points out, it is clearer than that:

While Ice Edge representatives have said their financing is conditional on a favourable lease agreement, they have long insisted at least one major commercial bank, thought to be Deutsche Bank, is ready to be the lead lender. However, the NHL does not allow a buyer to finance more than half of the value of a franchise and sources say a down payment of $70-million to $80-million is out of the reach of Ice Edge

What is wrong with this thinking?

I’ts what has been wrong from day one. The thought that there must be equity and owner risk in ownership of this team is a moot point. Reinsdorf will ensure by his deal that he will not lose one red cent:

After the fifth year of the agreement, if the operating-loss account does not have enough money to pay for the Coyotes’ losses, Glendale is on the hook. The city will have to make up the shortfall itself or allow Reinsdorf to sell the team to someone who could move it. The city may find a buyer, but Reinsdorf will be guaranteed no less than $103-million for the team.

Take out the calculator. The businesses and the taxpayers will subsidize this team. The profitable teams in the NHL will also subsidize it. It will not matter if the Phoenix Coyotes win five Stanley Cups, the attendance is not likely to increase, nor is the ticket prices. The people cannot justify the cost. NHL hockey is a form of entertainment that does not rank high on the Arizona popularity list – not like in Canada.

There is a favoritism and monopoly at play here.

Let’s hope Goldwater can save the taxpayers of Arizona a lot of unnecessary spending and grief. Because if Reinsdorf wins, the team will eventually be gone, gone, gone.

And finally, Jerry Moyes should have one tremendous case against the NHL for proving that the lease and the franchise was a loser in Glendale, and he was taken for a ride. Collusion and the chosen few suggesting sports monopolization and favoritism are the issues.

The NHL has taken the ‘lemon’ and is looking to make lemonade. The bankruptcy case opened the opportunity to break the lease. Bettman and others can come away in a sneaky way – letting the Goldwater Group play the heavy, while the NHL packs the truck.

It is more than convenient to claim the Ice Edge boys do not have enough equity. With Reinsdorf’s incredibly demanding (read: concessions) offer, the moving truck must be warming up around the corner from the arena. In other words: they may not have to wait it out five years. No, they can just play that Goldwater card:

Carrie Ann Sitren, a lawyer for the Goldwater Institute, said recently the conservative watchdog group will be studying any lease agreement closely and will not hesitate to take the city to court if it feels Arizona laws against public subsidies for private corporations are being violated.

Some of the fans in Phoenix will complain that Goldwater seems to just “get in the way”. They don’t get it! Goldwater and other tax fighters are the only saving grace suppressing complete government tyranny in a country gone off the deep end. In short, Phoenix, Arizona and elsewhere need all the tax watchdogs they can get at the moment. At the end of the day, the skin off the nose will be felt by the Glendale taxpayer. And let’s not forget, we tend to only hear from the supporters of the hockey team on blog sites and newspaper comment areas. The majority (75% or so) could care less, and we don’t hear their voice. Why should they pay the freight to Reinsdorf as a parting gift?

If the fans of Glendale want the hockey team, they had better get on the Ice Edge bandwagon and fast. The NHL by choosing Reinsdorf will show there is no long- term commitment in Glendale. That was lip service of last summer. They hope the fans forgot.

A couple of points still remain.

Will Moyes’ lawyers have the means to effect a case? Should the City of Glendale have taken Balsillie’s $50 million?

Calling all sports leagues – the time for shunning Canada may be over

Canada may be looking good as a destination to put more teams on the table

While Canada’s economy looks good in comparison, the “Bovine Butt plug” is an example of the “green opportunity” that the world is heading for

Oh yes, the Canadian economy is one of the best in the G-7 (Canada, the United States, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom).

And, the dollar is reaching parity with that of the U.S., and the rumour mill is ripe with prediction that the dollar may surpass the $1.10 mark, which it had not seen since 2007. Can anyone remember that?

So, those with large mortgages and variable mortgage rates beware, the prediction is for a move (from zero) of the prime lending (and variable mortgage) rate:

The currency is riding a wave of popularity with investors as oil prices hit 18-month highs, economic releases top forecasts and expectations grow that the Bank of Canada will hike its key lending rate this summer, well before the U.S. Federal Reserve makes a move. Canada is widely seen as leading economic growth among G7 countries this year.

I will hold back from praising the chutzpah of our Prime Minister, and stop short of worry about his selling out to the G20. Perhaps he has had a change of heart, and is truly Canadian after all? Perhaps even spiritual?

I was a proud Canadian when he told Hillary (pro abortion) Clinton that Canadians will decide the future and the issues for Canadians. And, I was impressed when he refused to succumb to the pressure of environmentalists to tax and control the bejeeslies out of the natural resource industries. Perhaps he has had a change of heart and says world be damned! I certainly hope so, but let’s not get on the bandwagon yet. He must still be under intense pressure that makes Clinton look like a warmup band at the local pub.

But it is not the bouncing around of currency as much as it is the push of a few to destroy the many in this world. That is the issue here.  And Canada needs to stay strong, and reject the pressure. It has made us desireable indeed.

Worth the consideration of  sports leagues and everyone else, the United States has become anything but united. The individual states in large number, are looking to protect their citizens from the ravages of a federal government gone far left of socialist. Dare we say communist?  Arizona, the home of the Coyotes is joining the group and suing the Feds over the healthcare ram-job.

It is making the argument of Gary Bettman several months ago seem trivial and weightless. Mr. B had let those of us in Canada know that had the NHL not fought as hard for some Canadian teams, the only two remaining teams in Canada could very well have been Montreal and Toronto.

Oh how the tides can turn.

Now, we are looking at an America plagued by high debt, ever choking fiscal policy, impossible health law, and a President that will now use the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) to deem carbon dioxide (pronounced, the gas used by trees and other plants to produce “oxygen”) as a dangerous gas.

Click here to read the gaseous "truth": Gore would be proud

The cows in the fields, if eating too much grass, may pass this dangerous CO2 and I have a feeling there will be a green movement, environmentally friendly startup company that will take advantage of this opportunity by producing a product called the Bovine Butt Plug.

Laugh if you will, but this CO2 stuff just isn’t very funny. No.

Not only will the world leadership require we all adopt the one child policy as championed in China, but there will likely be key times of the day that you will be allowed to practice. Heavy breathing better not go hand in hand with peak energy use, or we might all see a spike in the global temperature. Oh wait, since they changed that to climate change, I suppose the politically, green way to say this would be that we will see a spike in the “change” in climate. Run, run for cover, the temperature may fluctuate. Oh we have such global trouble.

We have so much global trouble with climate change that it must surpass that of starvation.

As Bill Gates slipped up in a meeting, the elites must work towards reducing the world population.

Sorry, am I missing something here? Is it reduced world population or making the world safer and cleaner for all of us? I guess it’s the idea of making it cleaner for those of us allowed to remain on earth, but we must also strive to get rid of many people who are taking up valuable oxygen. Sounds a little thick to me. Buying it? Me neither.

But getting back to the topic at hand, there is good news for Canada and Canadians.

We are strong -  at least for now.

George Soros: I suppose any bovine butt plugs would be subject to the green police approval too

But, on hockey, let’s start to ask Mr.Gary Bettman if he still looks at Canada’s economic stability as a bad thing. Can he see more teams and opportunity in Canada? He should.

When you have more money than sense, it’s easy to look at ideals, and toy with an idea that is not sensible. But at some point the costs will catch up to you. I think we are seeing this now in the NHL Sunbelt.

It’s like saying, “I’ve goofed around and now it’s time to get serious”. It’s time to find the real market, with true economic stability.

And if the Canadian and American and European players see the strengthening Canuck buck as the currency of future choice, this could change a lot for the NHL and sports leagues in general.

After all,

It now costs Canadian sports teams less to hire U.S. players.

Damien’s tongue must have been firmly inserted in cheek: Coyotes heading back to Canada?

….as the TV commercial suggests ….”You’ve got bankers!”….in the walls, everywhere…

Let’s hope getting back more NHL teams is Canada’s biggest concern in the coming years

I would have liked to have had a webcam last night, as Damien Cox completed his recent article on the Phoenix Coyotes. I could have guessed by the sarcastic tone dressed up for mass consumption, that his tongue was firmly planted in cheek.

Now, the big question is, does Coxy know something we don’t when he says,

U.S. cities like Seattle, Las Vegas and Kansas City interest the league, but if the Coyotes are forced to move there will be heavy pressure to move them to Canada, with the likeliest destinations being Quebec City or Winnipeg.

Of course the thought of the team going back to its Canadian roots would come from a Republican – Jerry Weiers - a State Representative in the Arizona Legislature. Republican as in Goldwater.

"You've got bankers!"

Round and round we go, where this team stops, does Gary Bettman know? After all, he knows it’s those pesky bankers – those greedy investors - and the people surrounding them in the spinoff industry of usury charges  and corruption responsible for the hockey mess (and much more). Corruption in hockey and world politics is being put under the microscope bigtime. It’s time for the average hockey fan to clue in like I did that the world really is a small place.

For those of us in Canada that know about as much about world politics as lawn bowling, we might fail to make the connection why Ice Edge is dragging its heels on buying this “rent-a-turkey franchise” in the desert. Some owners are being sifted like sand for all the wealth they can bring to the table. And once they are tapped out, the call will come – NEXT! Yes, the owners are being used like the rest of us global, carbon-tax paying dupes.

And, if our understanding as to what is going on politically in hockey and how it ties into global politics is a little rusty, we might think that seeing Harper give us the good ‘ol Canadian rah-rah in his interview with Brian Williams was a true sign that Canada is all well and good as ever.

The Prime Minister seems very Canadian, eh?

What worries me is his meeting with the Bilderberg Group in 2003 in France, and his hosting of their meeting in Ottawa in 2006. With worries that the European Union and the not so far off “North American Union” is the work of Bilderberg,  can we trust the patriotic call, and the “business as usual” approach of Harper?

We would certainly be led to slumber that all is well in Canuckville now wouldn’t we?

I took note how Canadians became  “hyper-patriotic” over the Olympic stint. We very obviously  regained our passion for hockey in the process. Are we  sensing the world is changing and the Olympics was a chance to make an ‘un-Canadian-like’ bold  statement?

Where were we nine short months ago when Canada was trying to get back one of it’s lost NHL franchises? Patriotism? Please!

Certainly not enough Canadian pride then.

We  in Canada should be grateful to the political battle in the U.S. with the Goldwater Group, and politicians like Congressman Ron Paul. Perhaps it’s time for us Canadians to do some googling of our own to find out why Ice Edge may not get the necessary sweetheart deal, and the yotes might actually come back to where they belong.

Instead of sports fans wondering why, tongue in cheek, Harper is suddenly making a special patriotic showing at the Olympics, we should hold him and his government accountable.

We should be happy that the Phoenix Coyotes may have a chance to return to Winnipeg where they belong, but as important, we should take this as an opportunity to appreciate that world politics would be responsible for making it happen.

After all it’s the bankers that are in control – both in hockey, and in the world as a whole.  And if you question that, call someone in Iceland. Their news will paint a picture of banker ponzi schemes so large, that Bernie Madoff would be lucky to be a coat-check boy at the Ponzi Bankers Ball. We are ten times the population of Iceland. I wish we had one-tenth their courage.

So, let’s end this insanity. It’s only a game. Leave the game out of this fellas, won’t ya? Canadians are speaking now. We want our country and our country’s game back. Political pressure may just be the beginning.

It’s high-time to take back control of sports – away from political influence, investors, and those greedy bankers.

It’s time for Canadians to clue in. Hockey and politics mix. We need to get active, get vocal, and extend our patriotism beyond the Olympic games.

It’s for Canada, our sovereignty, and for the fans of Winnipeg .

And I would argue Winnipeg is as Canadian as you can get!

More:

The best deal for Canada is no deal and I hope Environment Minister Jim Prentice and Prime Minister Harper, take that attitude seriously as they will find should they come back after having signed away Canada’s Sovereignty, or our ability to have a quality lifestyle via draconic Carbon Taxes and Cap and Trade, in this “non -Global Warming Country”, that their political careers have ended!

Hockey’s political battle: This “howl” would have been over a long time ago without it

So, on friday the Goldwater Group will be back in court to fight the subsidies of the Phoenix Coyotes yet again. Tireless aren’t they?

Goldwater is the republican watchdog group founded by Barry Goldwater, and since then few could argue about the support of Ron Paul, the only republican that can apparently speak politics and common sense at the same time.

Before you challenge the here we go again – off to politics land, let’s look back on the Coyotes battle, recapping some observed facts.

Jim Balsillie waived his money at the NHL some time ago, and for Phoenix… what, 9 months ago? Somewhere around that time, anyhow.

Jerry Moyes knew something was amiss in the NHL the owners were not being treated fairly. We had the vote of 26-0 against Balsillie’s supposed “poor character” by the NHL’s Board of Governors, but later we found comments from the owners (at least one) that it was not about or against Balsillie. Oh really, so why the 26-0 vote?

Goldwater was Balsillie’s only hope in court, because without the “political” battle of the watchdogs against a city that was hanging on to the losing team at all costs, concessions would have been granted 9 months ago, and in the words of a Toronto sports writer, we would have gotten out the salami and cheese, licked our wounds, and like a double play quickly ending the World Series, we would have been left with our mouths hanging open. “That’s it? No more? But, but, but, what about the offer from Balsillie? It was so much more.”

Without the political battle we so direly want as sports fans to avoid, the game would have been short-lived. Yes, Balsillie’s entire case was based on the Goldwater battle against concessions.

Now, we have the Ice Edge boys ready for battle again on Friday this week? And, what’s the issue? Oh yeah, the Goldwater group pit bulls are yet again looking to quell the hope of Glendale to offer concessions. It looks like the disguise is in the parking fees that Ice Edge hopes will yield in the neighbourhood of $15 million per year.

The team’s average attendance, no doubt padded to look better,  like the U.S. economies “  true” unemployment rate, is reportedly sitting at 11,000. I’d say about 6,000 short of okay. And, without researching, can we safely say they are still baking hotdogs and brewing beer, T-shirts, or Miley Cyrus tickets to attract attendance? Is it the same old same old?

Is it the same, “same old” in Tampa, but with the exception of the NHL meeting the payroll à la, oops, didn’t we see that in Phoenix? Yes, the same pattern.

And how are the owners doing in Tampa? Making money with a half empty arena? Are they still hanging in their pretending that their ownership actually matters? Don’t they get it yet. Voting 26-0 against Balsillie and letting a fellow owner like Moyes hang out to dry in an attempt to ask for it not to happen to them is ridiculous.

The owners really don’t get it?

Who will be the next owner to realize it is just their money that the “system” of sports monopoly wants. When will they get it that there is an infrastructure of sports based on politics and foreign investment so entrenched that they are no different than the average American taxpayer that is footing the bill for the banker bailout scam between the foreign controlled U.S. Federal reserve, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan and others.

When will the owners understand why Abu Dhabi remains interested in how the Ice Edge boys “look” going into the next battle?

For that matter, when will hockey fans stop wondering when Gary Bettman is going to “get it”, and move some of the failing teams to Canada? Bettman is carrying out the orders of the foreign bankers. I would show you the Ron McLean video again, but apparently it violated YouTube copyright laws. Gosh, how convenient.

So when we started our investigation we saw quickly that the battle of hockey in the NHL was all about politics. It stated with the obvious Glendale city, extended to the State when we brought Phoenix and CityNorth in, and has extended to the national monopolization of sport.

Wait, let me change that. It has extended to a global monopolization of sport. We touched on this a bit already, and there are some good people out there hockey land, like my friends that can elaborate.

A reliable source that cannot be divulged has brought the word about sports monopolization.

So when the boys from Ice Edge just happened to come on the scene, they brought with them more than memories from White House visits. They brought a history of playing in the club. No, not the hockey club, but the club of political maneuvering.

Ice Edge has a history and connections with military development and spending, sharing that space with some boys from Abu Dhabi.

They are entrenched. They are the chosen ones to keep the “plan” in focus.

So, if you are a sports fan dancing around poor attendance and are still thrashing Gary Bettman, you just don’t get it yet do you?

If you are looking for logic to eventually slip in to the mindset of an NHL that cares more about strategic locations than profit, think no more. It was never about what made sense from a hockey market perspective. And until we treat the disease the symptoms will not go away.

Politics and hockey. The powers that be had a plan, and hell or high water they have to continue the charade, taking money from whoever is crazy enough to give it to them.

Did you know ‘they’ consider us “cannon fodder”?

George Washington Hunt in his younger years

We know who George Washington was, but do we know about the mission of George Washington Hunt? His is a story worth telling. What would drive a man to dedicate his life to a cause he considers worth risking his life for?

George Washington Hunt had just lost a son, and was on a mission years ago to get his other son a job in the environmental industry. What happened to him was a prophecy fulfilled. He was allowed into a meeting with the Global Elites’ – a  meeting that  would change his life forever.

But, according to Hunt, he  was prepared and already knew  about the “mission” he would eventually be destined for after an encounter with God.

In this encounter decades earlier, God advised Hunt that some day he would be put in the path of the “ravenous beasts of the world“, and when it actually happened, Hunt knew his role, and his life mission from that point forward.

As a very brief overview, George Hunt describes the Global Elite he was involved with as eugenists, looking to reduce the population of the world by at least two billion. They were to work toward the complicated system of removing bank competition, and eventually reduce the banking system to one world bank, responsible for everyone. All the while, doing the equivalent of “rape and pillage” – taking without compensation all that represented wealth.

If one was to challenge the bank, they would be cut off, and would not be able to buy or sell anything. Creating masses at the mercy of the few in power would be the goal, and as we are seeing in the U.S. this is a process that is well underway, gaining ground at an alarming pace. In fact, if what Hunt was told years ago by this group comes true, the monetary system of the world is to collapse by 2012, and the system of “buy/sell” control would be in full swing.

If this is sounding like Biblical scripture, it is. It is supporting the bigger picture that world events are supporting.

Here is an excerpt from George Hunt’s website:

My name is George Hunt and I was an official host at the UNCED 4th World Wilderness Congress. I am educating the public to understand that a secret bank was set in motion by international financier Edmond de Rothschild. The bank will eventually be the only bank to exist as banks merge with one another into a larger bank. As the large and small banks topple toward large banks, where will it stop? The ultimate bank may be the Bank privee Edmond de Rothschild which was created in Geneva, Switzerland, a month after the aforementioned UNCED Wilderness Congress was held. It is presently known as the World Conservation Bank.

The bank will promote conservation but judge the hypocrisy of UNCED’s Maurice Strong, Rothschild’s right hand, as he brazenly attempts to circumvent Colorado water laws and ruin valuable farmlands. The bank utilizes the media to spread environment fears too. Spreading these fears will justify monstrous, inoperative, greenhouse effect projects for the greed rich and fat contracts. Some scientists have stated that they have serious questions concerning the lack of scientific methods and false or inadequate presumptions may have been used in the environment studies.

Please keep an open mind when you watch these video series, starting with an overview of the Climate Change (Global Warming) movement and what it means. From the show, “Conspiracy Theory”:

And, yesterday, Hunt was interviewed by Alex Jones:

Parts: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

On yesterdays Glenn Beck Show, Glenn discussed the “redistribution of wealth” disguised as the Health Care Bill. Could it be really the stripping of wealth so mankind is equally poor and at the mercy of the powerful?

Beck also criticized the other “plays” the government is making to strip wealth and equalize the people. All profits are subject to taxation it would seem, except the Federal Reserve’s. This would be in keeping with the “conspiracy fact” as Hunt would put it, to channel wealth to the global bankers.

In Australia we have farmers that are losing their farmland to the environmental movement. This too would be in keeping with the theory that the global elite want to take over assets. Much like Goldman Sachs was able to kill the competition of banks in the U.S. after the housing bubble. Goldman Sachs “shorted” the housing market because they knew the bubble would bust, and leave many banks in trouble. Consolidating the banking industry in a move to eventually get to the elusive “one” ?

Here is a clip on the Australian farmer Peter Spencer on a hunger strike. Remember, the climate change carbon taxes are in deep question, after the leak of emails from researchers who blew the whistle on the scam, known as ClimateGate.

We briefed on the issue of “eminent domain” in our previous discussions on how many sports owners made lots of money from the obtaining of land. One of these owners was George W. Bush, when he sold the Texas Rangers Baseball team. Now however the stakes appear higher.

Lord Monckton, former adviser to Margaret Thatcher and Climate Change opponent for many years has argued that the carbon scam will allow the governments of the world to take over farm land from farmers with taxation and land use laws, similar to the issues that are now affecting the farmers of Australia.

The effect will be fewer farms, creating a food shortage that Monckton advises will drive up global food prices and create death to third world countries by the hundreds of millions, and billions of people.

Incidentally, these people appear to be viewed by the elitists as “cannon fodder with bloated bellies”.

What seems to be happening right now is the process on steroids. The U.S. is invading countries more numerous than any time in the past, which would appear in an attempt to cut off the oil routes to Russia and China. Could the ultimate goal be to use the Saudi oil as a sanction to these countries to make them comply with the global government model?

The U.S. has more job growth in government jobs than manufacturing as Glenn Beck has pointed out, and eventually the unions that are being favoured, as well as the public employees will have no trough upon which to feed. There will be no manufacturing left to create the money for taxation. Eventually, as Beck would say, the machine will have to start to eat itself.

And, on that note, Northcom, it has been claimed, is awaiting the violent revolution of the American people. This too is expected from the global elitists, that know, according to George Hunt, that it will take more tragic events and “infighting” to shape the masses - the “cannon fodder” to where they can be handled easily.

To further support the notion of global eugenics, we can see evidence in the U.S. health care bill. It would seem the support of abortion and euthanasia principles  are attached to the current bill. The point that needs to be made is this power in the wrong hands could be devastating, from forcing abortions, to cutting off health care as proposed. The “cutting off” of care is found in the bill under when the “medical board” will decide if an individual will be allowed to be treated for his or her condition. There will no longer be a choice to get the best health care. Apparently, the patient’s physician will not have a say either, only the panel. So, what if the panel for cost or other reasons gets more sticky, and makes more decisions to cut off care?  The power of God in the hands of man is a scary thought, isn’t it? If there is no alternative that can be afforded anymore, the state will have full control whether a man has an opportunity for life. Where does the government think they have the right to decide whether someone lives or dies?

As an investigator I look at various sources and paint a picture. I did it for the Phoenix Coyotes case, and now, the investigation of hockey made it clear there was something more sinister in the bigger picture. We will continue to see how current world events fit this model. You might agree there seems to be much at stake for us all.

And, I don’t know about you, but I prefer to think of myself and others as children of God. Where we are assured that God loves us all so much, that He has even counted the number of hairs on our heads.

And for those people who think they can decide who gets to live and who gets to die I would say one thing to them.

Why do they think they should be superior to us?

And finally this needs to be said.

No matter how difficult life is, we all deserve to be treated equally. This should not be confused with taking from the rich and giving to the poor. For in a generous world that cared for those less fortunate, we would not have a situation where there is a chance a very few can dictate who lives and who dies.

If you are struggling in any way as an honest person, you already have much more than those that have monetary wealth, but have lost their souls in the process.

The Stephen Harper Censorship Strategy: Who’s your daddy Stephen?

When it comes to Stephen Harper’s latest censorship attempts to avoid the big issues to come, whose facts are  then justified the most?

Is it Alex Jones and the New World Order, or is it Glenn Beck, whose view of his country’s government is leading to communism? Censorship is a common bond between the Obama White House and Stephen Harper’s new censorship strategy…..will it work and will we, the people continue to “not care”?

Who’s your daddy Stephen?

Stephen Harper: Censoring reporters? Preparation for the big issues when our liberties are stripped.

Stephen Harper has said that the Canadian citizens really do not care about some issues that are being controlled by his party.   At least, that’s what he hopes is the case because what comes next may be uncomfortable if we decide to actually wake up to the evidence.

What seems strange is not strange at all. Harper is using a media charade, and twisting the truth, as part a a strategy to instill censorship so that when the bigger picture materializes he can get away with ignoring it  and hoping we won’t care.

And where are we seeing the same thing? Oh, that’s right, in the U.S.

In a similar strategy his “colleague” Obama is working the New World Order plan as well. Censorship and media control, coupled with disregard for the political processes and bi-passing of the Constitution.

Harper doesn’t want us as Canadians to wake up to the circumstances that will innevitably be imposed on us. And, don’t think when the U.S. collapses we won’t be on the radar in short order either.

Okay, let’s have a look at this situation.

Harper is controlling who can ask questions in the media? Whaaaa? Does that make sense? No, of course not. Well, it depends if you take this from an isolated issue, or if you ft it into our New World Order theory. Incidentally, the “New World Order” is not a theory – it is an admitted fact by all the politicians. Just to be clear here.

Harper is setting up censorship because there is an agenda that will be criticized as it become better known. It will not get any easier and he is preparing now for a “strategy” to control what the ”public sees” in mainstream press. Now that should scare the heck out of you!

Why the secretive nature? Why does he tie in journalists being able to answer questions to the notion that Canadians don’t care? What does one have to do with the other?

Does Harper know of the journalists that are going to “catch on” to the agenda,  imposing a threat? Will certain media  see through the rhetoric? Likely yes! And for that he wants to censor their ability to voice their questions to solidify a “case” that could be made against his government.

Harper sure drinks a lot of water in this press conference doesn’t he? A little dry mouthed when the issue of censorship arose, eh?

We can see the strategy playing out in the U.S., as Obama has gone against promises of CSPAN coverage of all important issues. He promised that the people of the United States would be part of any process to ensure government transparency. An obvious lie that is justified in the mindset of left wing radicals.

Now, in the United States, Obama is supported by the radical leftists because they believe that the “ends justify the means”. They want socialism. If they have to ram health care and all other legislation down the throats of the House and Senate, oh well, that’s justified. Their ideals meet the method, regardless of the “rules” or democracy.

That’s right house speaker Nancy Pelossi. What he (Obama) said on the campaign trail is pure means to an end garbage. Give the people what they want to hear and get him in. Then, shut the people out so you can fulfill what has never been the agenda of the people, but the agenda of a bunch of left wing (communist) political nutjobs.
Ironically, the joke is on the leftists that honestly believe they are doing the country some good. The truth is it will ensure economic failure of America, and they are too idealistic to see the truth. There is also an agenda of the New World Order that is playing the leftists like puppets.

Yes, there is a bigger picture. The leftist elites will all be fooled when America goes completely bankrupt, and the pensions payments to even the political elites will be impossible. That’s right. The joke will be on them.

It is the conservative right wingers in the U.S. that are screaming bloody murder. But, there are democrats jumping ship too, as it has transcended party lines, and is just plain political suicide. Democrats from both congress and the senate have bailed and will not seek re-election.

Who is Harper’s real boss?

Well, if Harper is a conservative, he has a different set of issues to pull off what his “bosses” need him to do. It is no longer a party issue. It is no longer him working conservative views. No. Now it is Harper working for the New World Order heads – the offshore bankers that have given us everything from Climate Change cap and trade to the full body scanners in the airports. Incidentally, as admitted by CTV News, these scanners were ordered months ago. Funny, the underwear bomber only came on scene on Christmas day! Hmmm! Could we be led to believe that there was a plan and they just needed the excuse? Right, the underwear guy, with no passport and film crew. Silly me!  Now, would this planning ahead of the scanners support sudden terror leading into the decision or support Alex Jones’ warnings over the years? Tough one – not!

So, when Harper seems a little odd to close off the reporters from his supposed political side, he is actually preparing for the coming onslaught that will be the stripping of rights of those that have put him in office in the first place. That’s right – the people who elected Harper into power will be taxed up the wazzoo, and we in the middle class won’t know what hit us. Harper is no longer working for the people of Canada. He knows it, and is strategizing how to deal with it. Phase one – cut off the media that represents the biggest threat. The Conservative view when “socialism” takes over.

The  good news is that the media in Canada seems to be less “in bed” with government as are the propaganda machines in the U.S. Good for the media here!

Let’s take another look at two incredible media powers in the U.S. that are applying heat to the issues that by design will also affect us here. That’s right,  you are not living in a bubble and you had better pay attention.

Don’t play into Harper’s strategy that he hopes us accomodating Canadians are known for.

Fitting the facts into the bigger puzzle: The media “guys” putting on the heat in the U.S.

When you are monitoring a theory to see if the facts support the bigger  suspected agenda, you will tend to take these facts as they arise and see if they fit into the particular puzzle to support your theory.

Alex Jones, the government watchdog of corruption in the United States for the past 20 plus years, has taken fact after fact, government document after government document, and pieced it into the picture that started to form. He of course is not alone, as many experts have been doing this along with him for years, writing books and the like.

So, as evidence and issues arise, Jones has continued with incredible accuracy to tell his listeners what the issue or circumstance means. Eerily, Jones seems to hold merit. One of his guests wants to do a documentary on him that will be entitled “Alex in Wonderland” –  a humorous reflection on his accuracy despite how far fetched  it may seem at first listen.

Now, Glenn Beck and the multi billion broadcaster FOX News has taken on their government for what Beck explains is an arrogant push to communism.

That’s right, you heard correct – communism.

If you are in your forties you will remember from your youth how almost impossible that would sound for the U.S., because baby boomers grew up with the influence that communism was as far as being American (or Canadian) as could be possible. Communism was looked down on with incredible disdain by Americans, and usually when mentioned, there would be the ever present mention of “we are free” and “we have liberty”. “Give me liberty or give me death”, remember?

Well in the Home of the Brave and land of the free, it would seem censorship by the current President is being instigated, and as Beck has pointed out, the White House does not want to recognize Fox as a news source because they have caught on. Thanks Obama. What happened to transparency you promised and all issues to be discussed on CSPAN?

Fox is a news source all right, just not patsies for government propaganda. No Fox is representing the people now, and it is refreshing. You see, when liberty is at stake it is not a question of liberal versus Conservative. That is a luxury that cannot be afforded when serious problems arise. It’s time to unite, party affiliation aside.

Glenn Beck started out by a “break it to us gently approach”, but he knows there is so much more than “communism” that is the issue, and how do I know this? Well, Beck had Lord Monckton on his show in the past, and Beck himself has mentioned the ridiculousness of Climate Change, which has been proven bogus by fudged documents and strategy.

The researchers themselves admittedly “fudged” the facts to support the global warming effect, when in fact, the actual results showed a cooling off. Cooling is the true state of the planet, and in fact, there is a greater chance of an ice age as the next major climate issue.

The bottom line on climate is that the power elite of the world would have us believe that man can control mother nature, and we are sadly giving ourselves way too much credit. The truth is we cannot – that is unless you look to Alaska and the HAARP project run by the U.S. Government.

Climate Change legislation will be imposed by a bureacratic, non-elected board that we will not have any control over. They will effect the de-industrialization of industry, and impose taxes on families that do not meet the “green” rules that will be imposed. They will in essence do what the New World Order wants – to destroy the middle class of the remaining free world, and climate legislation is a guise to hide world government. They will destroy the economies of the United States and Canada. This, coming at a time when the U.S. is already on the verge of collapse.

How bad is it?

If you look at the U.S. debt clock, every minute there are two bankruptcies and one foreclosure. Yes, every minute!

Hyperinflation: where the printing of more and more money leads to the devaluation of currency - the issue now in the U.S.

The U.S. is completely tapped out of money.

Tax revenues are a good trillion dollars less than spending per year. Try that in your own household. You know what would happen!

Each citizen, including all children (every person in the U.S.) owes over $340,000 of government debt. It doesn’t take an economist to realize they are bankrupt already.  A family of six would be responsible for almost $2 million alone. How will they get out of this?

In this insanity, why is the U.S. government rolling out the plan for heaps of more government jobs, and  reckless spending? That is like adding water to a sinking ship.  There is a plan – just not what is good for American citizens.

Two ways and neither good

As Beck’s show has pointed out, the government has two options at this moment – continue to print money and create “hyperinflation”, or stop printing money so the government cannot meet it’s social obligations (or debt for that matter), and create a depression so great that, in Beck’s words would be 100 times greater than the Great Depression itself.

I won’t continue for now, but realize this – my theory is that Beck and Jones are closer on the issues than one might think at this point – Beck is just taking it one step at a time, but trust me he will get there!

And for us in Canada, we are being conditioned to “take it”, as Harper starts his censorship strategy. When the “stuff” hits the fan, you will then understand why he doesn’t want to answer tough questions.

The questions so far are not even close. The biggest questions we should have for Harper are these:

  • Who is Harper working for – Bilderberg or the Canadian people?
  • What is our government doing about the world takeover disguised as Climate Change legislation?

These are huge, and we had better get ready to “get interested”. Let’s not play into our puppet Prime Minister’s hand. He has sold out his country for personal gain – and the “facts” going forward will prove it!   If he refuses to listen to the people as a sign that starts with our media, then it’s time he goes!

Jim Balsillie’s choice words help explain makeiteighteh’s current direction

Jim Balsillie: Likely knew the answer would be spiritual in nature

Jim Balsillie’s frustrations had led him to use the term “angels”. Could he see a much bigger picture for the reason he could not land an NHL team for Hamilton?

It may seem extremely strange to some regular readers of this blog to find a new direction.

The focus has turned from hockey to what you might seem as a spiritual, “wonder why the world is messed up” investigation, complete with conspiracy theories, 9/11 rehashing, climategate thrashing, and on and on.

Why in the world has makeiteighteh.com gone “rogue”?, you might be asking. For the same reason why Jim Balsillie figured he was looked as a rogue.

The answer lies in the roots that this web page has had.

If you noticed, the direction we took from the beginning was support of Hamilton hockey, but the underlying root was injustice – the injustice to Jerry Moyes and to Canadian Hockey.

Jim Balsillie knew something was wrong in the NHL when he decided to take a shot at the “side door”.

Without putting words in Balsillie’s mouth, my interpretation is that this was going to be a war, and the victory would be as much in exposure of corruption as it was in acquiring an elusive team.

Perhaps Balsillie knew that a team under the circumstances was unlikely – but perhaps Jim Balsillie is still searching for the ultimate reason there is so much resistance.

Makeiteighteh.com delved, and will continue to delve into the complicated world of how professional hockey in the NHL seems to have meshed with the very infrastructure of America. We might just see that it is bigger than America.

Reliable sources have advised us that there seems to be a monopolization of sport, and without being able to prove global ties and strategies, there is proof that the “players”  in the monopolization efforts are gaining large in the bigger, global  (new world government) strategy. Much like with climate change, cap and trade legislation that will lead to government appointed “golden boy” organizations getting the “green” contracts, squeezing out the competing industries, jacking up prices of goods, and reducing jobs.

Jim Balsillie used choice words when he said:

“I know what side the angels are on and the entrenched interests don’t like it,” he said last May.

You see, Jim Balsillie is indeed a man of integrity with roots in fair business practices, and looking at industry with an eye to fairness. He can likely see where unfair business practices have taken away from the ethics of industry, in this case the NHL.

The monopoly powers of MLSE may only tell a small story compared to the bigger picture the “globalization” of the world, which would include sport would entail.

We contacted the Competition Bureau only to be assured that they would be monitoring the situation, and if the MLSE issue became a factor they would be all over it. Great fellas, thanks. Maybe you can promise that level of involvement when you know full well that with the way things are structured, it would never get to that phase anyhow. Easy to look good when you have little to prove in the end. That would be consistent with a Canadian Government that had talks with the U.S. authorities, that in all likelihood said it will never get to the MLSE issue. Clever fellas, clever. We in Canada wondered why the Competition Bureau wouldn’t go after MLSE anyway, and the fact is they didn’t. This to me suggests a close link to the powers that be in both countries working together. For whose benefit is the big question. Perhaps two country heads that are working for a common cause could explain the situation. What if they are both henchmen for the global elitists, the Bilderberg Group, and the bigger picture?

The heads of countries are necessary, but so are other key players in this world game.

In the “global”, new world government strategy, giving power to a few in monopoly efforts is the key. We saw evidence of this in our research and investigation into the NHL.

The bankruptcy court was enraged at the apparent pushing of Jerry Reinsdorf at the expense of fairness, and we were off to the races to find out more.

Suffice it to say, when you are reading about current issues in this blog, we have not delved too far off the path. We will return to answer the question of why in the world we are discussing world events, power struggles, and the like.

In short, there is method to our madness. Until we can tie the New World Order to the other evidences of World Government and Corruption, I suggest you keep an open mind to a much bigger picture, that at the outset we realized was transcending hockey and sport.

We are going to start to look at world leaders and question how their actions fit.

We will be keying in on Stephen Harper, and why he seems to be running the Canadian arm of the New World Order, instead of listening to the democratic process of his country.

No watchdogs will howl at how Canadians are being denied the right to know what the ruling party is doing in their name and with their money; what generals and ministers aren’t saying about Afghanistan prisoner torture or how an unreformed RCMP polices much of the country without civilian oversight.

The argument that the so-called conspiracy theorists have is that the politicians have been promised something in the new World Government. Has Harper had his price met, and is now a patsy of the global elite? Well, we will certainly monitor his behavior closely from this point as he takes on the “dictator” role. Sure fits. His persona is closely matching his good buddy Obama from the U.S. Branch of New World Incorporated, isn’t it?

Don't let the nationalism fool you: The new flag these gents support is likely not linked to our national identity

That nasty little thing called the American Constitution and the Canadian Charter are just getting in the way, and they must find ways around them.

Our pledge from this point is going to focus on exposing how the “actions” fit the global elite puzzle. The rhetoric will likely not match the actions, and perhaps it’s time for the opposition to call for a serious look at the “new” motives of the Bilderberg’s golden boy in Canada.

Yes, if you are listening Mr. Harper, we are going to be on your case – you can bet the climate change hockey stick graph on that!

The Study of Man: An education we can all share

There has been a true education that the followers of the Phoenix Coyotes bankruptcy case can attest to.

The story of a man who brought a flashlight to the dark caverns of the NHL and it’s operations, and helped to shine some light on things far from respectable. That man of course is Jerry Moyes. Mr. Moyes is continuing his battle as we know, in an anti trust suit against the NHL, which will likely further to humble the organization.

The MLSE in Toronto, continues to be humbled, as the arrogance of charging (and actually raising) high ticket prices has been met with backlash from the fans that have finally said enough is enough.

As an almost poetic justice, the team in Toronto has not yet won a game, and reflects an organization that truly needs to eat more humble pie before this process is done.

What can we all learn from this experience?

What can we all learn from this experience?

A story of man –  how he thinks, operates, feels, and manipulates.

Interest on several levels – political, economic, legal, sociological, psychological, and spiritual.

What compelled me may have compelled many others. This case quickly transcended sport, and mere hockey to represent something bigger.

For some, like me, it was a spiritual lesson in how an organization and structure can be humbled and brought to it’s knees. Where greed and corruption and those that seemingly sense they have immunity to discipline can quickly find themselves to be the mere mortals that we all are.

Wealth, power and greed can become exposed in a heartbeat, and all the money and power can not stop the process.

The hockey case in Phoenix, Arizona has never been, nor will ever be remembered as just a hockey team that was looking to be sold and moved north. No, there is far more interest and intrigue to be “just” about hockey.

As the months had sailed by, one of the most interesting aspects of watching who were visiting were the hits from the various education facilities.

I have started to look at some of these again, and I want to share with you the names of these as I come across them again.

To think that this case could be used in teaching on the various mindful disciplines is intriguing. we should continue as a people to examine the far reaching implications that this case has exposed.

Again, these are partial lists, and I apologize for that.

We also had several law offices visit our site that I will not mention here, and I do not think it would be appropriate considering they could have been directly involved at some level with this case.

And of course, we had the NHL office themselves visit on at least two occasions. Interestingly, when we called that Jerry Moyes was the vicitim of a squeeze play, and second, when we reported on the story of the NHLPA.

Kind of interesting in the timing of those visits by the NHL.

This story has touched many of us on various levels. It has never just been about a hockey team.

How man treats man, how man takes advantage of his fellow man, and how a man is impelled by greed or other corruption to use others to get what he wants.

It touches on all aspects of education and our lives.

The NHL at the end of this process will have learned many lessons. The new NHL may be a far removed version of what it was prior to May 2009.

To Russia, with Love!

For the bullet summary, please go here.

According to the Globe and Mail, Jerry Moyes will not necessarily get money from the Coyotes in bankruptcy. The Globe and Mail feels the NHL will not have to up the $140 million bid. And for this, the owners in the league salute Gary Bettman? Disgusting. The owners in this league will get what they deserve, but they won’t see a penny from me!

To Russia, with Love!

When Canadian hockey players won't stand up for their country, why not bring in Europeans to teach them all a lesson or two. (Action from a KHL game)

When Canadian hockey players won't stand up for their country, why not bring in Europeans to teach them all a lesson or two. (Action from a KHL game)

I hear the KHL is stealing players away from the NHL. Wow! I’d pay big to see more of that! And, I have a feeling there are many others in this fine city that would too.

The NHL is powerless to stop the KHL from attracting it’s restricted free agents. My, would a team in Hamilton be the transfer ground for disgruntled NHL players to exercise some control or what?

“Make a deal, or I speak to Hamilton”, a player might say! Has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?

And, that way, the NHL player could jump leagues, and not leave North America, keeping his family intact. Interesting.

Jim Basillie, if he wanted hockey and a means to send further shock waves through the NHL could likely be accepted as a KHL owner. What’s that, did I just hear Jim’s phone ring? Long distance?

Jim Balsillie was ready to spend $240 million on what? A corrupt hockey league? A league where the Canadian team owners teamed up and are now saluting Gary Bettman for his efforts. Raise the glass of champagne?

They ( the NHL, it’s and it’s owners) are all disgusting! Even the so called Canadian ones.

Let’s say Jim Balsillie wanted to buy a Tim Horton franchise, and Tim’s organization was run like the NHL.

The other owners of Tim stores would gang up on Balsillie and say he was not ‘Horton owner material’,or other gibberish.

Because perhaps those coffee stores were making a lot of money and enjoyed the monopoly. Let’s say you couldn’t get a better coffee in town, and well, the people became addicted to their coffee fix.

The only thing that would tick off the owners in that kind of monopoly would be competition. Competition that the consumers were going to side with out of spite to begin with. What company wouldn’t want that kind of “differential advantage”in marketing it’s brand? Oh, boy!

Richard Rodier had, in an interview with Bob McCown on the Fan 590, the analogy of a hamburger restaurant chain. It doesn’t matter what product we are speaking of here, what does matter is the principle of monopoly power.

And let’s face it, the glitz and glamour of the once respected NHL is long, long gone. It’s ripe for a makeover that only competition could bring.

It also brings us back to the old days of the World Hockey Association (WHA). First looked at as a joke, it quickly became a threat, and well, the rest as we know is history. Rumour has it the best player that ever played in the NHL first played in the WHA. So, as far as crazy, there is no reason to support that idea. In fact, the time is now for a lot of reasons.

And with players in the NHLPA no doubt sharing disgust for the management and ownership, there may be a lot of interest moving forward (see the list of ex-NHL’ers to have made their way to the KHL already).

The Moscow Dynamo have been around a long time, and play great hockey....imagine going to Copps to see them play!

The Moscow Dynamo have been around a long time, and play great hockey....imagine going to Copps to see them play!

Imagine entertaining the Moscow Dynamo at Copps Colliseum. A reality that could come true with a little vision. Having Canadians embrace an international hockey battle on a regular basis may just be the ticket! It was always a huge draw in the past.

From a marketing perspective, I would easily say that Jim Balsillie has millions of angry hockey fans ready to stand behind his next move.

But what should that move be.

Antitrust? I don’t know. The Canadian Competition Bureau has shown collectively why they get paid to appease the people, rather than enforcing the law. So, in my opinion now, they are useless. They are out.

However, this is where it could get interesting.

Alexander Frolov in 2004-05 with Dynamo

Alexander Frolov in 2004-05 with Dynamo

There has been much talk about another league. Even experts have agreed that starting another professional hockey league would be just the ticket to have the fans in the GTA, and all of southern Ontario, perhaps Canada rally behind Balsillie to make it work.

I would even go as far as to say some fans in Montreal, Ottawa, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, and, yes, even Toronto would support Jim Balsillie out of sheer frustration as to the shunning of more Canadian teams, and because fans, especially in the GTA, cannot see NHL hockey at any price.

In short, from a marketing perspective, it would be like a bunch of Tim Horton customers suddenly finding out something terrible about Tim’s, and how a monopoly existed, and how much those coffee nuts would make a point of supporting any alternative that wasn’t them!

Well, we have that marketing opportunity now.

We have millions and millions and millions. Did I say millions? Yes, millions of fans in Canada, not just Hamilton and area that would welcome an alternative.

We, as fans would welcome an alternative that would fly in the face of the smug (insert expletive deletive here!) at the NHL, and the owners. I, for one, will never watch another NHL hockey game until they have a change of heart, come back on their knees, and beg Jim Balsillie to buy a franchise, and put it in Copps Colliseum. I, and many others are boycotting this league for as long as that takes.

Jim Balsillie, in my opinion, and the opinion is shared by many, is a man who has exposed the NHL and it’s partners for the seedy business people that they are.

I don’t follow wrestling, but in the old days, my dad would tell me to come on over, and sit down, after all it was Saturday afternoon, and Hockey Night in Canada wasn’t on yet. Come watch the wrestling. As my dad said time and again with a slick smile, “It’s all fixed you know, it’s a put on”.

“Yes dad, I know”.

And we’d sit there and laugh, and marvel at “how real” the wrestlers made it all seem. How their “acting” was hokey but entertaining. But it just wasn’t real. It was phony.

Well, the NHL has become phony to me.

I disagree with Jim Balsillie for once. If an NHL team came to Hamilton at this point, and Jim Balsillie wasn’t the owner, I don’t believe I would be in line to buy tickets. The NHL would have won. I would remember back to the “we are gods” attitude of Bill Daly, when he said:

Not so fast, smug ones. I would love to see a little competition come your way!

Not so fast, smug ones. I would love to see a little competition come your way!

“We admire and respect their passion for the sport and maybe at some point in the future they will have their own franchise.”

I’m with my friends on this one. That is simply not good enough.

Did I tell you there were millions of people in Hamilton area, let alone all over southern Ontario unhappy?

Well, let’s get back to Jim Balsillie.

Somewhere in a bank account, Jim has $240 million dollars.

The money was earmarked to do some good for the City of Hamilton and it’s people.

It was designated to stimulate the city he loves, and provide hockey to the hungry fans.

Well, if you are of my generation, you would remember the ’72 Summit series. Hockey so good, that they brought black and white televisions in the school gyms so the kids could all support Canada. What would we do to see more of that kind of hockey? That would make the NHL look run of the mill, like it should look.

That would make the Maple Leafs look like slugs.

That would make those at MLSE cringe.

And remember, a state of the art facility would attract the real money. The concerts and other events that would make 40 spots of hockey look trivial.

The argument in Glendale, AZ could be made here. A state of the art entertainment facility would bring so much revenue and interest to Hamilton that it could not help but stimulate the economy.

And if Jim Balsillie would stand to get a piece of that pie, who cares. I’d support that.

And, if Jim Balsillie were to put together a “select” professional team, that played a schedule of games against european elite teams, I would definitely help pack the new, state of the art arena, and several million (did I say million?) of the hungry hockey fans would add revenues to the ultimate goal of perhaps springing up another team in, say Winnipeg, Quebec City, Saskatoon, out east, and on and on.

Pretty soon, we might be able to break away or enhance the european influence, but if it is so good why bother.

We could create a hockey experience that makes the NHL pale in comparison.

And why?

It’s very simple. The iron is hot. The NHL doesn’t deserve our money, nor that of anyone else.

MLSE deserves to sweat, and not just over hockey.

No, MLSE deserves to have plenty of competition as the years to come will be filled with a society of kids that don’t consider hockey the number one choice. MLSE and the Leafs will have reached the abyss of being able to charge ridiculous hockey rates. It will and could soon be over for them.

So, if Mr. Jim Balsille were to take his $240 million and build a complex so elaborate that the world would take notice, it would increase the stature of Hamilton, and he could throw a hockey team in there that would make the NHL drool.

$240 million could do a lot. And to break the monopoly of the MLSE and give people a reason to vote with their wallets would be priceless.

I wouldn’t line up to pay the crooks in the NHL a chance to watch their product.

But I would support a team Jim Balsillie would put there.

Balsillie is a visionary too good for the hokey hockey league known as the NHL.

Another WHA may be in order here.

And to start with building a state of the art arena and entertainment complex may not be so crazy. That is one idea of Gary Bettman’s we can agree on. At least in Canada, if you build it, they will come.

Maybe our thinking was all wrong. Perhaps it’s time to Make it one! A vision for a new league!

Are you ready to "expand" NHL? What's the deal?

For the bullet summary, please go here.

We, the hockey fans that came a long way deserve a better fate than what appears on the surface. We the fans have been heard, we just don’t know it yet. The impact we have had on the NHL has been far-reaching, and now the league needs to come up with a ‘creative way’ to save face. Oh, how to do it? Well, what you are about to read is a theory of the ending, explained by the entire picture, and what must have been discovered…..read on my friends……

The ties that ‘bond’

Questions – there are so many.

The decision that came down in court yesterday was so strange, that the only thing stranger was the reaction from the parties involved. Did anybody catch this too?

The case that took five months to settle, that jokingly could have been ruled in a week (based on the result), ended abruptly. Or, did it?

People on this site might consider me the eternal optimist and write off what I’m about to say. Well, give me a chance. Read, and let it absorb for a while, and then piece the puzzle together before you judge my theory.

Hamilton may be closer to getting an NHL team than you may know, and there may be a deal closer than we might think.

There are several ‘out of character’ comments that strike the ‘strange cord’ from the fallout of the ruling from yesterday. The good news, and a big issue here, is it appears the NHL might have to mirror the Balsillie bid in money, and that would mean Jerry Moyes would get what he would have gotten with a PSE victory. That, of course, will be up to the NHL to determine if they are willing to fulfill the court’s requirements, but there is strong reason to believe they will.

So, the bankruptcy case will have solved Jerry Moyes’ issue, and that’s huge. But did it also do something significant for Jim Balsillie?

Let’s start by looking at the facts, from the ‘reaction’ front to try to figure this out.

Amongst the very strange comments made after the decision, here are the strangest in my opinion:

  • Jim Balsillie commenting that it’s over. He will not seek appeal. This is out of character for a persistent man that looked like he was building an anti-trust case during the trial. So, now, it’s over?
  • The NHL’s only comment yesterday, was that it was pleased that the court ruled in it’s favor, and that the league has the right to choose who owns the franchises.
  • Jim Balsillie saying hockey is closer than ever for Hamilton? Wait a minute Jim just lost, remember?
  • Jim Balsillie saying he will be first in line to buy tickets? (Sell them you mean, don’t you Jim?)
  • Tom Harrington reporting on the case in the one breath telling us Balsillie lost, and in another stating that Jim Balsillie could be considered for an expansion team (see video)?

Out of character indeed. Strange? Absolutely.

Jim Balsillie has been a pitbull in his attack of the NHL, it’s processes, and it’s good boy’s club.

Suddenly Jim,’ the pitbull’, puts his tail between his legs and goes home? No, no, no. Sorry, not buying it.

What I can “buy” is the fact that there were many months the Balsillie legal team was looking into the workings of the NHL, and without telling you all I know (it would go against something I promised someone), I can tell you this much.

As mentioned on several occasions, there are things I see from a site owner perspective to give a good indication of things that might not be seen otherwise. That is how the initial investigation started at the outset, and fittingly, how it has ended. Patrick Romanoski is the only other person I have shared my information with, and we are, well, sworn to keep it to ourselves.

But, at the same time, I feel the need to share it with the people of Canada, because we have all been in this together, fighting along with Jim, and now suddenly, it’s lunch bag letdown time. No, I am here to tell you the facts speak a different language. The ruling of ‘no sale’ was likely by design.

How it began is how it ended

A strange ‘hit’ to the site many months ago that got the ball rolling, and a few recent ones might have effectively ended it.

The situation in Glendale began years ago as a case of a city needing growth. The city as we know is Glendale.

They decided to bite the bullet and attack sports facilities as a means to attract residents, build the tax base, and otherwise thrive.

Glendale had quickly become the location of choice for the Arizona Cardinals and the Phoenix Coyotes. The common denominator – Michael Reinsdorf and International Facilities Group (IFG).

While IFG was quick to tell us that they constructed the Cardinals’ stadium, they also were responsible for the construction of the now Jobing.com arena.

While IFG was responsible for aspects of consulting on the Cardinals’ stadium, they strangely backed off dealings on Jobing.com arena, and instead brought in Beacon Sports to assess and give advice to the City of Glendale. That, in itself seemed a little strange. That is, unless the company needed to have a non-arms length relationship with Jobing.com and the city.

Michael Reinsdorf, as I pointed out, professes to be an expert in lease negotiations. So why didn’t he get involved with the lease between Jerry Moyes and the City of Glendale?

It never really made sense, and we, as the public know who several key creditors have been in this bankruptcy, but let’s ask the obvious question. How come we do not know who the bondholder is?

Well, I suppose the bondholder is once removed from the situation. That is, the bond is a deal between the City of Glendale and the bondholder. It is only the lease that is the issue between the hockey team and the City, and only that forms part of the financial obligations in this case. So, who holds the bond, although huge, is not directly a party to the bankruptcy.

But, as mentioned several times, the ‘ah ha’ moment would be to know who holds the bonds?

Why?

Glendale has sold out to private investment money to fund infrastructure growth. They built Jobing.com arena with no money down, but with a huge promise to come through with sales tax, to fulfill the bond terms. The only way to generate sales tax, is if you have tenants to bring the people in.

In this case, the hockey team is a condition of the bond terms, and revenue from sales tax the agreement.

We on Make it Seven have recently surmized that the NHL may have been involved with the arranging (convincing) of the City to take on the loan structure, and in effect the NHL may have been a party to being on the hook to meet the bond’s obligations.

Now, in the judge’s ruling of yesterday, is it clear that the NHL actually got the one-year out clause it was looking for?Again, I don’t believe it was clear at all. And, in fact, a lease concession of that huge a magnitude is simply a concession that I do not believe the City of Glendale is at liberty to allow. The Goldwater Group would see to that.

So, if indeed the NHL, by assuming this team would be on the hook for the close to $800 million lease liability, why would they take the deal? Unless they too are bound by it.

Remember again, the NHL philosophy is first you need a state of the art arena, and then a team, and then the fans will come (they hope).

Well, as we know in Glendale, we have a location where it is inconvenient for so many people to make it on time for a game, that many have likely elected to forget it. The location for the state of the art facility was wrong. But, the NHL, and the hockey team have been held accountable for it.

So, we have Jim Balsillie.

For Jim, all guns were ablazing for several months, and his desire to obtain an NHL franchise flew in the face of the NHL itself. But, at some point, would this strategy fail?

The answer is yes.

The court has proven it.

Why would Jim back down now? Why not antitrust? He could continue to make the life of the NHL and it’s executives a living nightmare for years to come. God only knows he has the financial wherewithall to do it. So why back off? Good question.

Here’s where the theory comes in. What if the PSE legal team found out something so juicy, it would make everybody stand up and take notice. A lot like the NHL, the City of Glendale, and a developer all coming to this site one day, when I pinned the tail on the donkey, and determined Jerry Moyes was taken for a ride. Bingo.

Well, I think there was a second ‘Bingo’ moment, and I believe that PSE found out a very important fact.

The fact: Who holds the Jobing.com arena bonds?

If PSE and it’s team of lawyers were able to find out who holds the bonds, and it ties in with the suspicion of collusion nicely in this case, as the basketball announcer would say, “Get out the salami and cheese mama, this game is over”.

Well, I have reason to support the idea that in the last little while a break occured in this case, and PSE was able to do just that. I believe they found out who holds the bonds, and the situation, even to PSE became clear.

Jim Balsillie, not being the bad guy he was painted to be probably realized the significance of the finding, and also realized that it would not be good for certain parties to this bankruptcy. After all, we are all human, and who would have known it would come to this?

So, having information of significant magnitude, a deal could have been made. A deal that would work for everybody.

Instead of the prolonging of the facade of “character assasination” of Jim Balsillie, the game could now end.

The judge could look like the bad guy. The league, if it comes back to a ‘given up’ Jim Balsillie, a good guy.

Jim Balsillie was never going to get into this league by continuing to make the NHL and it’s people eat crow.

At some point he would have to back down. But, he may have enough clout now to have harboured a deal.

To put the finishing touch on this idea, let’s remember how badly the NHL wants to get this team out of bankruptcy.

Remember Ice Edge? The comment form Daryl Jones being they would only have an opportunity to buy the team “post bankruptcy”?

Why post-bankruptcy? Why not during bankruptcy?

Well, in bankruptcy, Jerry Moyes knew that the league would not be able to change loan terms, specifically bond terms.

But, if one of the parties to the collusion were to also be the bondholder, then out of bankruptcy, the bond payment terms could be made a lot easier on the City of Glendale, and maybe, just maybe the financial situation of the Coyotes in Glendale might have a chance.

The issue is this.

If the NHL is bound to remain in Glendale legally for the remainder of the lease, then they need to do all they can to find an owner. The bondholder would be motivated to ensure the stream of payments is maintained.

Judge Baum, appearing as the indecisive judge, cared less about his reputation, and in the end more about Jerry Moyes than we might appreciate. After all, Jerry Moyes will get his money here.

The Coyotes might stay in Glendale.

The NHL will still have one heck of a rough ride.

And, Jim Balsillie will have found out enough information to keep quiet, that when he goes to buy those tickets for hockey in Hamilton, he might actually turn around and sell them.

That’s right, he just might be made an offer that comes from a very generous league. A league that will look like good guys for having a change of heart.

A league that might offer Jim Balsillie an expansion franchise, as suggested oddly by Tom Harrington. What is striking about the comments by Harrington, is that the league was very “low key”, and that they cited Hamilton as the 5th best market in potential. Harrington said there may be opportunity for Hamilton, “and Jim Balsillie.” Now is that strange or what, especially coming off a bitterly contested battle? This is certainly not in keeping with previous atttitude or demeanor of both sides – the NHL or Jim Balsillie.

As Philip Mastronardi said so well:

…..something isnt right, I dont know what it is but i get the feeling things are far from over.

Others are also getting the “feeling” this is not in keeping with the tone or the situation. “Something just isn’t right” alright, so what is it?

Well, I am here to say that information is power, and I believe there are secrets best kept secret in the NHL. And, keeping things quiet might just be worth a lot.

So, what’s not right?

We all know Jim Balsillie never, ever gives up! So why is he giving up now?

I think this tweet I found last night summarizes the bond albatross situation with a light heart:

RT @MichelleKenneth : Holy crap! RT @TheYotesDiva It would’ve cost Jim $794,663,034.00 to break that lease with the City of Glendale. 15 hours ago

Perhaps the reality of being ‘stuck’ with the albatross lease is playing into the thinking of the NHL, yet again, as Bill Daly had this to say:

“We are pleased that the Bankruptcy Court has confirmed the League’s rights to select its owners and the location of its franchises. We are reviewing the opinion and considering how we can best address the Court’s concerns regarding our offer to purchase the Coyotes. It remains our goal to secure the long-term stability of the Coyotes in Glendale.”

Yep, the ‘bond’ that ties likely is better tying someone else up, right Jim?
