Olsen: “When did the Constitution become negotiable?”

What does Charlie Sheen and “Winning” have to do with Canadians wanting more hockey? Read on my friends…..Dos Equis or not!

Gotta love it, eh?

Canada, you are getting a taste now why hockey in Glendale has always been a political battle. And my theory is that there are investors in Abu Dhabi that have become a nightmare for the City of Glendale. Attached to them are the names that put the investors in touch, so to speak, with “the deal”, and they are all hoping the big penalty doesn’t come in to play. And no, it’s not even close to a game misconduct, far worse in fact. The game misconduct is in not providing the game of usury debt streams.

If it were not a political battle then, as argued before, this case would have been over a long time ago.

My daughter likes to blurt regularly, “Get over yourself”, whenever someone seems a little self righteous. And when I hear people tell us they have “told us” something many times before I agree with her. That’s what will make this situation and the far out angle we have taken come home to roost. So, excuse me for rubbing it in here shortly.

If indeed this was a pure battle of what makes the most economic hockey sense from a pure profit angle, Jim Balsillie would be putting the finishing touches on the new state of the art arena. The only issue would probably have been what to name the arena. Do we change it from Copps to RIM, or something else? What a dilemma that would be. The problem du jour would be a whole lot different than where we are today. Canadians you could simply keep focused on what you always wanted to focus on coming to makeiteighteh.com – - talk on the Coyotes and giving you the trash on the corruption. You could come looking for any dirt that would suggest Hamilton, or Winnipeg, or Quebec might get hockey back.

And worst of all, you might still be thinking if we don’t piss off Gary Bettman, we may actually get him to see Canada as a deserving place to put more hockey. Be good fellow Canucks, Gary seems to be happy about Canada today! Don’t rock the boat. Phewie! Wake up! It’s time to tip the boat over because it has a leak caused by years of corruption. The same corruption that has taken over the U.S. government and is trashing that Constitution!

When Gary Bettman asked who the Goldwater Institute answers to, he might as well have said, “Didn’t they get the memo on the new economy?” Who do they answer to indeed! Wow! Some entity not in on the taxpayer wealth stripping party! Absurd!

I am going to insert a very loaded interview between Brahm Resnik who is a broadcaster in Phoenix, but first and foremost a Canadian. He is interviewing Darcy Olsen of the Goldwater Institute that has the Constitution of the United States of America on her side. And, in a country where the current White House Administration views the Constitution as a thorn in the side of the real agenda, she is a refreshing change of pace from Corruption Incorporated. You know Brahm as the man with the twitter account who, like a gracious Canadian, answers everybody!

He even answered a good friend of mine that wrote an article for this site way back when that showed some detail about the Jobing.com bond issue – - a bubble within a bubble. Eloquently put I would say. Unfortunately Resnik  at the outset commented to him that there didn’t seem to be a point. I wonder if he would care to reread it now and see if that opinion has changed, In fact why don’t you all read it again and see the points made that are suddenly becoming significant. The bubble within a bubble – - the economic sell out of Glendale.

What are the new sky is falling numbers out of Glendale’s City Hall – - $500 million and complete collapse? Why? Really? Forty home dates of hockey is going to impact a City putting in a Casino and can increase concerts? Something is not right. Where’s the real deal Glendale? Who is holding your City hostage? Why is Gary Bettman really bending over backward to spare an embarrassment that will make Jerry Moyes’ pale in comparison?

In this interview, I love the fact that Olsen points out to Resnik that although hockey is important to many, there is the case against pulling the plug on Grandma that they are involved with that is challenging the U.S. Healthcare reform. Sorry Canada, that is a little more important!  Here’s where I insert my own shameless plug, proving I am a hypocrite when I say that I hate self-promotion.

And where did my article end up? Infowars.com and the leader of the battle against the attack on that nasty Constitution.

That’s right, you may have heard of Alex Jones, if at no other time than on the View with Barbara Walters, as she was ready to blow a gasket. You see, Jones wanted to cram in as much stuff on the bad things that have been done to Americans and the Constitution that he took every opportunity to tell us all about “building 7″ in New York on 9/11, the killing of innocent Iraqis during the war on the weapons of mass destruction, and on and on. Whoopie Goldberg looked like she was taking downers for a change, trying to get Jones to slow down. It was a crazy few minutes, but a victory and a way to further the Charlie Sheen cause .

Is it any wonder Sheen is basking in the glory of destroying the New World Order and is as popular as ever for the campaign of “Winning”? The next time you watch Saturday Night Live try to separate the attack from the humor and you will see something far from funny. The system controlled by mainstream media is scared, and they are threatened.

You must excuse Charlie for looking disturbed and overcoming substance abuse. Anyone who has come from that place and is still effective at bringing attention to the issues of the day is brilliant. It is an interesting dilemma – - do you look at Charlie the man and say he is at this time a little off, or do you look at the bigger picture and agenda, and realize he truly is winning? And by winning, again, we mean drawing attention to supporting the Constitution, peoples’ rights, and freedom. Or, did you miss the whole point? He may come across as the madman across the water, but the point is the people across the water want to hear him.

When Whoopie Goldberg said she wanted to figure out what was happening with Charlie, they should have let Alex Jones have an hour to explain that Sheen’s problems happened when he wanted 20 minutes with the President. In fairness, if the system wanted to vilify you, you’d go a little nuts too!

So hockey, right?

Point is, hockey and politics, and the U.S. Constitution is all in focus. The Coyotes in Phoenix and the other NHL teams are all affected by corruption and taxpayer abuse by a sports league that is no different than the rest. John McCain has come forward to support the Coyotes because of political issues. We have seen a lot on this site, and we have shown a glimmer of those over time to you here. We have seen the politics, the ties to land developers, and we have seen the game within the game.

When we realize that the game of hockey has been held hostage to land developers and financiers, we will look at the next bubble within a bubble coming to Edmonton right now, and see it for what it really is. Edmonton is being held hostage by the “convenient excuse” that the taxpayers should own the arena, just like in Glendale. The real reason is because the taxes are guaranteed to those behind the financing, and they can score many times the value of the arena in interest payments over time.

Glendale saying that their economy will collapse makes no sense to anyone on the surface. It’s what you cannot see that is the issue. Will we let it become the issue in Edmonton too? Are they the replacement cash cow?

Will we, as Canadians think we are living in a protective bubble, where Stephen Harper is not part of the Club? We have looked at him too here on this site.

It’s time to realize hockey is politically driven. It’s time to join the party and start winning too.

When Resnik asked Olsen if Canadians were making contributions to the Goldwater Institute’s battle against the case for keeping the team in Glendale, it made me laugh.

It made Olsen laugh too.

As an issue for a Canadian like Resnik who really knows better because of his political analysis agenda, it shows that there has always been a more important mission. It has been a mission of human rights and freedoms. It’s all about a bigger issue of righteousness! It’s about people having rights. Like Jerry Moyes! Remember him? The man served proxies instead of compassion?

When are we going to understand there are bigger issues than hockey? And you can’t just throw money at that! In short, any Canadians who think throwing money at the Goldwater Institute will motivate them more to take on the NHL had better “get over themselves”!

It’s about WINNING!…. DUH! Winning the big picture not the little hockey picture!

While Darcy Olsen does it the politically correct way,  Charlie Sheen lets it all hang out – -  what’s the difference?  He is in essence saying the heck with all things politically correct because politics is corrupt people!  They built him up and gave him power and now he is turning the machine against themselves- – a stroke of brilliance!

Who does he need to answer to? Nobody! Who does Goldwater need to answer to — normal everyday people fed up with the system of taxpayer abuse. So, Mr. Bettman, I hope that clarifies things a little bit. After all, you did want to know who Goldwater is accountable to.

It’s all about loving the preserving of human rights! It’s about upholding the Constitution that represents those rights. And in Canada, we need to pay careful attention too.

A man’s actions define him. Sheen is overcoming all odds to show just how intelligent he is. Playing the nutbar to bring attention to himself to further the bigger issues.

If Lindsay Lohan’s drinking can bring her fame and attention, Sheen is getting more than 20 minutes with the world. Why bother trying to influence the President when you are more popular than Obama? Refreshing and fresh! Free and carefree! Liberated and fanciful!

So thank you Charlie Sheen for taking your popularity to a meaningful level, despite what they are trying to do to you! Oh, and Darcy and the Goldwater Institute: Many thanks as well. When Darcy says, “when has the Constitution been negotiable?”, I suppose she is saying it shouldn’t be in hockey, and it should not be abused by a dictatorship style either, when she refers to the healthcare reform in America. The little engine that could in a pile of corruption and bullying. Nice try Brahm! Nobody it would seem is going to derail this little choo choo. Whoohoo!

And with Charlie Sheen’s popularity hitting an all-time high, there is something about him that attracts people. Perhaps it is the underlying truth! Maybe he should have this to say, being “the most popular man in the world”,

” Stay thirsty for the truth my friends!”

The NHL: The common denominator in City Development

Did you know the NHL is also great at Urban Development? And we thought the problem was unique to Glendale. How silly of us!

Are there more opportunities to tap into tax dollars that have investors and owners thinking outside the box?

Oopsie! The U.S. is suffering. They’ve done all the damage they can down south, so it’s time to take the roadshow north to Canada! Rumour has it there is a good economy and plenty of tax dollars, especially in Alberta.

Doesn’t it seem a little odd that the Mayor of Edmonton, Stephen Mandel feels held hostage by a sports league trying to dictate how the development of the city will come off? At least in Glendale, you had a Mayor in Elaine Scruggs that bought the plan hook, line and sinker, and “sink” is the operative word at this point. She sold her taxpaying residents down the river.

When we studied the Phoenix Coyotes case we uncovered the City of Glendale’s desire to use the Coyotes to build their tax base, and develop their economy. We knew about the Westgate Arena Development but thought it unique. We even overlooked the link in Dallas, and the white elephant project that was more to do about urban planning, than just to bring in a good sized arena for the Stars.

It was only when we started to see the issue move north into our Canadian turf that the bell went off, and we are discovering who the common denominator of urban planning really is.

So, it’s time to work a little. Who are the private investors ready to build the Edmonton Arena District? Sounds way too familiar, doesn’t it?

We will be looking into the link between taxpayer funded sports, area development and the strange link a hockey league has to building infrastructure in not only America, it is now affecting  Canada.

We will likely all need to heed the words of David Zirin, of Edge of Sports, to find out how bad owners are ruining the sport, and interestingly fitting here is how to tap the taxpayers dry with pricey development financing. Will Edmonton go the way of the Dodo bird, as Dallas and Glendale did? Canada is not as populated as these areas, so the tax  base is smaller. Yikes!

How will the financing be obtained for the infrastructure of the Edmonton Arena District? In the video below of Daryl Katz, substitute Elaine Scruggs of Glendale and an eery picture starts to form.

What about the white elephant of Dallas? Was that all about development of many varieties all stemming from the hockey league too? The Victory Park Project was anything but a victory. Did Tom Hicks hold favour with the NHL when he was supported as he ran into financial trouble, while Moyes was left with proxy in hand because of the ties to land? Because, if land development was the goal, Hicks had it down:

Hicks Holdings is a partner with Hillwood Development Company in the Victory Park project in downtown Dallas.  Hicks Holdings is a developer of a 75-acre urban town center /multi-use development on the land adjacent to the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington; and of Champions Park, a 40-acre office/retail development in Frisco

Is the NHL now trying frantically to help the bond issue in Glendale to preserve the development pie? If this is remotely true, how would the conflict of interest have shaped the handling of Jerry Moyes?

Yeah, every situation is different alright. It may vary by who is working the development, and who are the underlying investors. What remains the same is the taxpayers getting the raw end of the deal. And in Canada, what better way to hit the heart strings than wave the hockey carrot. Those Canucks will pay anything to get hockey, muhahahaha! Front man, coming up!

If a hockey league needed to keep investors happy (how’s it going Mubadala and Goldman Sachs?), then would the need for Glendale to keep a hockey team be substituted with a different opportunity – - maybe where the economy is better, and hockey is actually popular?

Would the investors  be calling the shots behind the scenes, and the residents and taxpayers  held hostage? And why should all taxpayers pay for a sport if they aren’t interested? More importantly, why should sports owners reap profits to entire “districts” of development? What happened to the business of hockey alone?

When Gary Bettman eluded to the bankers building arenas in his interview with Ron McLean on HNIC, we might look upon the dialogue a little differently depending on the underlying circumstances.

Could Edmonton be the “replacement opportunity” as Glendale fades away? Interesting possibilities, eh?

Would this explain why a land developer, Vieste LLC, the NHL head office, and the City of Glendale all wanted to see the article on Moyes being the victim of a squeeze play – -Vieste and the NHL, totally unconnected right?

And, try not to freak out when you think of Scruggs in her speech that the hockey district would create a world class area to help the City of Glendale, when you watch the similarity to Katz and his talking points. But, whatever you do, don’t envision  Katz in a skirt.

But think of the common denominator and the possibilities.

How does a hockey league continue to be involved in area land development that extends beyond hockey? And, would that explain why they would not want to move a franchise like the Coyotes at all cost – - because they have gotten involved in development of land, not just sticking to hockey? And for God’s sake, don’t do a google search like this! It might just get you mad thinking back on the McLean – Bettman interview that might mean the reason was income from development as  the real issue Winnipeg and Quebec City were shunned!

It would make Bryden’s exit ramp pale in comparison to the money attached to not just arena development but urban development. Sales tax related funding coupled with property tax and income tax funding would effectively put pressure on already debt ridden Canadians that cannot afford the current cash flow crisis. The theme is a common one : The few rich making tons of money off the sweat of the many (taxpayers).

It has the Mayor of Edmonton concerned, just as the Mayor of New York wasn’t going to go for the big idea of Related Companies. He had sense, thank goodness.

Since when has Daryl Katz been a sales agent for land use causes? Starting to stink again, and this time it’s personal. Is Katz the next Tom Hicks? When you buy an NHL franchise you become a “partner” in the club. Not a consortium Mr. (Ron) McLean, remember Gary said it was a “partnership”, and the partners get to decide who joins the club, and where arenas get built.

I suppose the partners in Toronto didn’t want land developed by the outsider, Mr. (Jim) Balsillie. There might be a second set of books that Jimmy B. would be too honest to go for.

Would it explain why a new Commissioner wouldn’t be on the table at regular intervals? Imagine the conversation:  “Okay new Commish, this is how the owners and investors make extra money – - they build mega projects at the expense of the taxpayers, and so your job is to make sure you keep track of all these investors and deals, ’cause we gotta keep ‘em all happy. What? Yeah, the hockey operations are an excuse to get at the real bucks, so what’s your point?”

Or, it could also explain why a guy like Balsillie would not be a good fit. “He actually cares about the fans!! Get him outta here. It’s not about the fans, it’s about taxation and profit taking. The partners allowed in this group have got to be well-picked, seasoned, and must know the real score”.

As Dave Zirin points out, the long term good of the game is sacrificed by owners’ greed.

Yes, what if it’s  all about land development beyond Phoenix – - extending to everywhere? It might suggest that “free financing” was not the goal, but expensive financing might be. You know, the sales tax financing like in Glendale –  the “gift” that keeps on giving!

“The View” for Victory: You don’t have to be crazy to work here, but it helps

Let’s forget Gary Bettman on the podium somewhere North of the 49th Parallel telling those in Edmonton that to sustain their franchise, they will have to develop a mixed-use mega suite filled, glam box, complete with Casino, offices, and all kinds of glitter……or he’ll build an arena in some remote non-hockey loving town like Mexico City, ’cause the government is more generous there! Let’s talk about Jones on the View instead, and how he ticked off Barbara Walters!

What an animal!

And I mean that in the most sincere sense of the word.

Alex Jones had Whoopie Goldberg and Barbara Walters speechless, as it was obvious they were very keyed into the warning signs of what might come out of Alex Jones’ mouth.

I have seen God work before, and when he does, it gives me the chills. I think I witnessed God’s work through his devoted witness, Alex Jones on the clip on the View of yesterday. Don’t go scrambling to see if his religion is Jehovah either, okay?

I know what your thinking – - just as things were getting heated up again with the last article that was starting to question the NHL focus on arena and “area development” such as Casinos, restaurants, office complexes, etc., and yeah, I know, you’d prefer to hear about how Mr. Bettman seems to be the last man standing to put a “whaaaat” into your mind — you know the Edmonton “sustainability” as a hockey franchise can only be accomplished by……are you sitting down?……..building a new mega arena a and mixed-use complex like in Phoenix, and in Dallas – - the two white elephants of sport.

I know, you might be wondering as I if there was something more in it for the guys that are supposed to think more about hockey than land, and you are probably piecing together the notion that every time the big boss speaks it’s about building arenas and local shopping and entertainment districts. And then you are thinking, maybe — No! Couldn’t be. No! Oh my God, what if it is? No. Couldn’t be. It would sure explain a lot and explain why certain things happened in Phoenix. No! Couldn’t be. But what if it is? No…..and on, and on you go. So, to take your mind off that potential for its own little breed of corruption, let’s divert to a bigger kettle.

But first, perhaps we should also drift back into memory and think of the history of the Madison Square Garden renos that were pushed by Related Companies many moons ago, and yes they were involved in Phoenix at City North related to the Coyotes hockey disaster, and boy, those guys in New York, they sure were trying to get the mayor to go for the big project weren’t they?

No, for now we should talk about the latest “V” for victory — Alex Jones supporting the truth movement otherwise known as exposing corruption.

And if you haven’t noticed, that’s a mandate from God. Sorry to offend those that are looking to hear just about sport, the NHL, and not about Charlie Sheen, Alex Jones, the New World Order and God. Problem is, they are all related.

You see, exposing corruption knows no bounds. It is a battle that has God giving wisdom to those he chooses that leave others scratching their heads, perhaps sending that divine shiver through you that spells – DIVINITY!

Wow! Pumped cannot express the feeling and the exhilaration from watching a victory like you are about to see below. But you must do yourself a favour, go to the attached YouTube site to read the comments because that is equally satisfying.

Pay attention to the crowd’s applause, because the people in the audience may be at the filming of the View, but they are also, many of them, closet NWO (New World Order) philes. Like an audiophile, not a pedophile. A ‘phile’, a student, someone aware, but most still in the closet ’cause someone might think it’s not cool to really know what’s going on.

But when you can’t help but see a slam dunk for humanity, you can’t help but love the moment, and put those hands together New York, for the greatest moment of broadcast history, Mr. Alex Jones shutting up the “hens” of New York.

Step right up people, and witness what must have been divine intervention in cleverness for the man who spoke fast, because once bitten twice shy, you do what you got to do. Overlook the putdown attempts, and the attempts to paint Sheen and Jones with the “cuckoo” brush at the same time. That’s right, you’re one of us now if you saw the not so well orchestrated attempt to paint Sheen as a manic, and to label Jones a kook.

Yes, put those hands together and share in the exhilaration of your “coming out”.

It might actually become socially acceptable to know what in the world is going on in the world, and not listen to the controlled media tell you what to think.

Shivering yet?

Time to take the rabid dog with shotgun to the back 40: This Coyotes fiasco has been tainted from the start

Which came first…..the arena chicken or the development egg? Who is ultimately responsible for lining Glendale up with a bond obligation that might put them over the edge?

So when Jerry Moyes tried to play nice with Council in the open meetings in Glendale months and months ago, he wasn’t dealing with a fair deck.

Moyes was continually shunned as he explained the Coyotes were not viable, and the $50 million Jim Balsillie was offering the City to relocate the hockey team was at least enough to cover off some interest.

At the root of memory sticks some points that cannot easily be shaken from the frontal lobe – - the biggest was Glendale’s comment in court that if the Coyotes should leave, they would have to replace the team with another hockey team. That sounds more like a deal with greedy investors promised sales tax related usury over taxpayers – - making it seem less likely the N.H.L. was behind the arena deal (although there were rumors there could be conflicts of interest for certain parties of influence…shhh…..you could be waking up in Vegas! Shhhhh……). Yep, those private mega-suites — sweet! But that’s another story isn’t it? I hate this sport, I hate this sport, show me the next arena, I hate this sport….

And for the need to replace the hockey team with another, we said, “says who?” What kind of team ya got in mind, Glendale? Does it matter?

Bizarre isn’t it that a comment like that came out. One might as easily have missed it, but for some reason it was bizarre enough to stand out and continue to rear its ugly head.

Who really controls the Jobing.com financing? Who’s pulling the strings? Who holds those arena bonds? How did this nightmare financing bubble get born? Why is Mubadala so interested? What’s on the surface is becoming less and less, as the city councillors are on a “need to know” basis now, and they aren’t being told much!

Perhaps a councillor, such as Joyce Clark, who voted against the current deal should ask these questions. Perhaps, but good luck Ms. Clark, the heads in charge have a track record of only telling folks what they want disclosed.

We only need to look at the heavily edited emails sent to the Goldwater Group, as if a slap in the face, “who are you to ask?” gesture. Those emails from a long time ago also stick in the mind, and so does the reasoning of it being in the best interest of the City not to disclose some information.

Which brings us back to issues of democracy.

How is it possible to have a political process where a few key individuals get to dictate how the approval process works? It would seem a few key individuals may have more power at the City Hall in Glendale than is good for the residents. We only need to ask councillors like Joyce Clark what it’s like to get proper information to make a rational decision. I’m sure based on recent experience she is frustrated, possibly suspect of the agenda behind the scenes.

Why is information not readily available, and how come debate is not wide open?

This case has stunk since inception. We could see deception from the beginning. The charade and arrogance continues but it would seem it is coming to an abrupt end.

In a fashion of poetic justice, perhaps potential bondholders are looking at a City that professes a good game, but has a track record that barks, “Warning Wil Robinson”. Perhaps they are looking at the treatment (or lack thereof) of the past owner of the franchise, and are thinking if they can throw him away like an old newspaper, what will they do to us as investors?

Come to think of it, the NHL brass threw Moyes under the rig, too, didn’t they? They were all too eager to dispense with one of their own. No loyalty to anyone from anybody. Cover your butts 101, eh? What was the big secret that is tied to land development, not hockey? Land development or arena land development? Who is the most guilty? Who was deserving the “instigator penalty” for this one? Was it a City that made a bad deal on it’s own, or a group looking to take financing and build, build, build, muhahahahahahaha!

Nonetheless, the party’s over – - locally and globally! Credit is dried up. Like the con man who borrows all over town, and never pays back, eventually his luck runs out.

Who was the greediest? Who might have looked at sideline income that might have justified using other peoples’ money? Who may be suspect based on secrecy and blacking out emails, that would suggest using their positions for potential personal gain? Is it an issue for the fans and players of a hockey league, or  the residents of the City of Glendale to be concerned with?

And why did the bullpen immediately get on the phone together as if looking for the relief pitcher in the 9th inning, when we asked if Moyes was the victim of a squeeze play? And why did they jump to this site to see what could be the ugly truth becoming known?

To figure out this whole conspiracy of making lots of money on development we would have to look at two coins — one looking to build a city, the other a potential empire of sports venues.

Yeah, we’d have to look back on our notes, and that would be exhausting, perhaps not worth it at this point. We’d have to see who had big connections and influence with key people in the sports leagues, and in political circles, and had connections with wealthy investors in the background.

No sense to bother with that stuff now, is there? No sense to really join all the pieces and present a clear picture, right?

Oh, and we’d have to see who stood to build the monopoly they wanted, and who they were influencing, perhaps giving a cut of the action. Yeah, that would be too much work. What’s important at this point is whether the Coyotes can hang on, or should they be taken to the woods. We know the answer. We see where the thread dangled, and when tugged it unravelled more than anyone had bargained for. We are tired though, and perhaps ready to hang up our thinking cap. It’s over…. but just to close two other things are stuck in my mind: The vision of the video of the Winnipeg Arena being torn down after the streets were filled with mourning fans, and the other comment that “the league decides where the teams and arenas get built”. Yeah, those are tough ones too. Really makes one ponder, and think of all the possibilities.

The dog of Glendale has been bitten by deceit. It’s turned rabid.  Time to take him to the back 40, and put him out of his misery.

The dog isn’t the question, the question is who represents the dog?

Hulsizer has just reinvented CityNorth’s $100 million parking ripoff!

Everyone wanted a piece of the parking pie!

First it was Jerry Moyes.  Then, Jerry Reinsdorf, Steve  Ellman, and  let’s not forget Ice Edge. And now, it’s Matthew Hulsizer’s turn. Anyone lulled to sleep yet?

Hey, wait a minute!

We have seen this whole parking subsidy thing before. Lot’s of times. So why should it be different now?

Yeah, that’s right – when the Goldwater Group were challenging the Arizona Gift Laws at Phoenix’s CityNorth over the parking spots worth about $500,000 each, we had the first glimpse of hope in Canada that might suggest Glendale would have a problem with granting the concessions Jerry Reinsdorf expected.

And, let’s not forget it was Jerry Moyes who was not able to negotiate concessions when he owned the Coyotes, but that’s right, he wasn’t the chosen “Jerry” – the one who would be that white knight, riding on the knowledge of sports team management. He also wasn’t that “Jerry” who had a son working on several sports projects with the City of Glendale. No, this Jerry was not on the inside of the club, so to speak, whether it was the NHL, or the favor of the City that supported his hockey team.

It wasn’t until a few moments ago that it hit me that a pig is a pig, even if you dress the pig in a different outfit. At the end of the day it’s still a pig.

The Toronto Sun reminded me that the parking concessions were just a glorified excuse to give Hulsizer subsidies:

Yes, the whole thing sounds like a thinly veiled handout, which is why Goldwater smells a violation of Arizona law’s “gift” clause, and is threatening to go to court to block the deal.

Now, we must remember something else (like we could forget!). The City of Glendale was pig-headed in their stubborn stance, and would not budge for any offer the Balsillie legal team could come up with – $50 million? No thanks.

Sitren: Not one to put up with abuse of the taxpayer

No, Glendale needed the hockey team come hell or high water. Too bad they didn’t count on the other stubborn entity in Arizona – the Goldwater Group, founded on the merits of conservatism and common sense, and it’s founder Barry Goldwater. He’d no doubt be proud of the current legal team led by attorney Carrie Ann Sitren.

It was Sitren in CityNorth that stands out as the attorney in the news. Slowly, methodically, waiting in the wings to monitor governments gone awry from corruption that breeds when corporate America takes root in government, and like a leech, feeds off the host until there is no longer anything to suck out. And she was on the case early to put Glendale on notice she needed their full cooperation too. I’d like to know why some emails were withheld for reasons of “best interest”. Who’s best interest?

And why would Goldwater want to do a thorough job to ensure fairness and ensure the City is acting in the taxpayers best interest?

Because the last thing anyone needs to hear more of is stuff like this:

“Dude, your getting a …. sweet parking lot deal!”

“And, Abu Dhabi, your getting a sweet deal too!” All from those easy to leech taxpayers, muhahahaha”.

Who knows how corruption takes hold ? It festers and boils and seeps into positions of power and influence – so watchdog groups are a necessary counter-evil.

We need only look to the G.M. dealer fiasco where if you were a dealer with a democratic friend in congress you might have miraculously had your dealership spared, while others not so lucky were not even able to get a payout for a service list. I think Michele Bachman called that (well, she borrowed the phrase) a Gangster Government .

I think we can safely say it is when corporate America corrupts (or buys) the politicians, and anything remotely fair become far from reality. The other telltale sign is a push to monopolization – where certain key players are given favor for no better reason than piling more spoils onto the heap.

Now, here’s the kicker.

The City of Glendale says that it will “hurt” the taxpayer if the Goldwater Group does their due diligence. Excuse me – hurt the taxpayer? Surely they jest?

Would it be the same taxpayers that said they were not interested in bailing out the Coyotes if it meant tax concessions? Those taxpayers?

How about this?

How about it would hurt the corrupt sellouts in government who used their offices to make promises with someone else’s money for personal gain? Would that be closer to the truth? I suppose we could argue the corrupt politicians are also taxpayers – but certainly not the majority. And the majority have no vested interest in ensuring the “deal” remains in place.

So, the Goldwater Group might just have an opportunity to come out of their patient position and flex their muscles again – preserving liberty in America.

And with liberty being the question, little victories mean a lot. Not to suggest this would be a small victory. For in a world where black is becoming white, and crime pays, it is important to stand for liberties and the little guy.

I understand the phrase – “He who laughs last, laughs the loudest” now more than ever.

With gas prices expected to continue to rise, and Obama wanting to create public transit a la LRT service, there may not be too many cars in the future needing to park anyhow.

That just might be poetic justice that will bring some justice to the “Jerry” who never got a fair shake. He may have full right to laugh the loudest, but I don’t think he will find it one bit funny.

Where to take a chance: And how to lose money in municipal bonds

Glendale facing bond issues, lawsuit

What in the world is happening with the way the globe looks at credit and risk? Here’s a hint, it’s not good for Glendale looking to raise significant cash to pay lucrative concessions to Matthew Hulsizer.

China and Russia have decided to trade amongst themselves in a currency that is NOT the U.S. dollar.

China is reducing it’s position in U.S. treasury bonds. It is also bailing out Europe. But, there is a new way to do business for China.

China Select Capital Partners have issued bonds on the Toronto Stock Exchange looking for foreign investment sources:

“We are one of the first movers in our nascent industry and eager to capitalize on the growing China private equity market through facilitating foreign investment in China and managing Renminbi-denominated funds.”

The strategy away from the United States bond holdings is underway for China. Instead, they are looking to take ownership positions in firms in the U.S. And that is to the tune of an initial $9.6 Billion which includes banks, even Coca-Cola:

The filing offers a glimpse of how China is trying to diversify its more than $2 trillion in foreign currency holdings with stock, rather than investing almost entirely inUnited States Treasury bonds and other debt securities issued by governments and by government-sponsored enterprises like Fannie Mae.

All the while, Jamie Dimon, the CEO of J.P. Morgan, claimed to be frontrunners in the manipulation of the gold and silver markets to bolster the U.S. dollar, explained that there will be more U.S. municipalities going bankrupt:

“If you are an investor in municipals you should be very, very careful,” Dimon said at the conference.

So, if you are Glendale, AZ looking to sell bonds that total over $100 million you might have a problem.

And that has Winnipeg getting a little excited yet again!:

The worry is there’s credit contagion going on and that a replay of the mortgage market (meltdown) is now hitting the municipal bond market,” said Jack Ablin, chief investment officer of Chicago-based Harris Private Bank, a division of BMO.

Ablin isn’t predicting the sky will fall in Glendale but he said many American cities and towns are financially stretched with rising debts and falling tax revenues. They’re also bearing the brunt of the pullback from the private sector over the last two to three years.

He described the municipal bond market as a “patchwork quilt” of offerings with an average size of $30 million. The money raised is typically used to fund upgrades to sewer systems, hospitals, schools and sports facilities.

On top of it all, despite the woes of raising the cash, the Goldwater Group is investigating the issue and considering a lawsuit against concessions again.

In recap, you have foreign investors leary of bonds preferring ownership positions directly in corporate America, and who knows what the folks in Abu Dhabi are thinking.

And if you think the sub-prime mortgage fiasco, leading into the derivative scandal was fun, you ain’t seen nothing yet - – watch the bubble burst on commercial real estate for the next round of incredible U.S. slaughter known as their economy.

Should be an interesting close to a very twisted case that has Canadians on the edge of their collective seats.

The greatest collapse won’t have taken place on the ice in Buffalo

Okay, I want Canada, the U.S. and the free world to get a serious grip right now.

Yes, we were stunned by the Russian sudden comeback in the third period of the Junior Gold Medal game, and the collapse was the greatest ever seen in junior hockey.

Okay, this is hockey, and Canada’s game.

But I want to draw attention to what should be the channeling of our frustration.

Canada might feel ripped off right now that our hockey liberties have been stripped, that’s true. Maddening isn’t it? Sudden, wasn’t it? Hard to believe, eh?

For the last long while, this site has switched from the injustice of losing a seventh and eighth NHL team, that enraged at least those of us in the Hamilton area. As for the rest of Canada, I’m not so sure.

But what is important is the reason we will not likely see NHL hockey anytime soon. The reason is foreign investment in the new world of sports, that mirrors the foreign control of our countries in the New World Economic Order, also simply known as the New World Order.

We can channel our frustration and the sudden devastation to realize there could be another devastating collapse of greater significance – and that will be the collapse of the economies of the United States and Canada, as is happening in Europe right now.

We have been taken for a financial ride from the time most of our pensions and investments took a 40 to 50% hit not long ago, as it was tied into the derivative scam instigated by the corrupt elite, who control the banking cartel.

Oh, they are sharp. They are well-organized. And they are capable of pulling the plug on the economy which, when it comes, it will leave us with our mouthes hanging open.

The hockey loss we will get over much easier, as hard as it may seem.

If you want a new cause to waive the Canadian flag, take this year to get informed of the injustice that is being imposed on us all.

And ask Mr. Harper our Prime Minister why  exactly it is we need to give up our sovereignty.

2009: The continued suggestion that sovereignty is for sale

2010: Let’s make this a little clearer now, shall we?

Inter-financial affairs are one thing that should NOT include loss of sovereignty.

What does a global trading reality have to do with interlinked banking systems that, by association, is linked to  sovereignty? This sounds very shady indeed! But, no shadier than the way they signed a secret agreement for the prosperity arrangement that is leading to the North American Union.

While Janet Napolitano has video feeds at Wal Mart stores urging to “see something, say something”, we have open Mexican borders that have led to abductions and murders, and has sheriffs begging for help to seal the borders. This is a huge conflict in the so called homeland security issues, and further supports the reality that it is the citizens in the U.S. and Canada that are losing rights and freedoms, and are the big targets of the government and its military.

Our identity as a nation, and our rights and freedoms have nothing to do with the global economy. But the sad reality as evidenced by the prorogue of Parliament and the G20 marshall law (police) state paints a much different story – a story that fits a loss of freedoms.

Make no mistake, this is the greatest injustice that Canada will ever see.

The Coyotes, the Federal Reserve, Inflation, and tapping you dry (and will somebody give Bettman his money already?!)

….from those who brought us the military industrial complex, we now have……

The Sports Industrial Complex Racket!”

Show me the money!

Reportedly, Gary Bettman does not want to sell short the value of the Phoenix Coyotes. It’s $165  million if you want to make a deal with the NHL, Mr. Hulsizer – certified cheque or money order please.

And according to the newly thrashed David Shoalts (who really just tells it like it is and apparently is not admired for it):

Matthew Hulsizer’s bid to buy the Phoenix Coyotes from the NHL has stalled because the Chicago businessman wants a big discount on the $165-million (all currency U.S.) the league wants for the team, two sources say. This, the sources add, is despite the fact Hulsizer, 40, has an agreement in principle with the city of Glendale, Ariz., on a multiyear arena lease that could pay him $100-million toward the Coyotes’ annual losses through parking charges, taxes and property levies from a community-facilities district created around Jobing.com arena.

As Dave Zirin, from EdgeofSports.com discussed with Max Keiser, it’s all about subsidies – the rich guys taking all they can from the taxpayers of municipalities who, in Glendale’s case, cannot afford it.

Let’s do a quick recap shall we?

Who in their right mind would buy the Phoenix Coyotes for the realization that on its own it would make money? Hands anyone? Anyone?

Right!

So, how is Hulsizer and the Ice Edge Group going to make it? That is the question. The hints begin with what the “unpopular” Shoalts points out – taxes, charges, and levies – the taxpayers, and business owners are going to subsidize the team. No different really than the current focus in America as a whole.

The Federal Reserve, a private central bank produces money out of thin air, lending it to the U.S. government, and the interest on the escalating debt is paid for by, yes, that’s right, the taxpayers of the United States. In the U.S. about 60% plus of each tax dollar goes to paying interest on the debt – forget everything else. Ellen Brown tells it best:

Our money system is not what we have been led to believe. The creation of money has been “privatized,” or taken over by private money lenders. Thomas Jefferson called them “bold and bankrupt adventurers just pretending to have money.” Except for coins, allof our money is now created as loans advanced by private banking institutions — including the privately-owned Federal Reserve. Banks create the principal but not the interest to service their loans. To find the interest, new loans must continually be taken out, expanding the money supply, inflating prices — and robbing you of the value of your money.

Not only is virtually the entire money supply created privately by banks, but a mere handful of very big banks is responsible for a massive investment scheme known as “derivatives,” which now tallies in at hundreds of trillions of dollars. The banking system has been contrived so that these big banks always get bailed out by the taxpayers from their risky ventures, but the scheme has reached its mathematical limits. There isn’t enough money in the entire global economy to bail out the banks from a massive derivatives default today.

The debt is spiralling out of control and citizens of the United States are buying guns because reportedly over 80% do not trust their government!

So, with a nation already on the brink of wondering where the next meal will come from, or if they will be able to keep their home/roof over their head, because of the luxury of saying they have a hockey team, the City of Glendale is going to push the taxpayers and businesses further to support higher taxes?

How about rising prices to boot? Inflation!

In this video clip, Peak6 Investments, Jud Pyle (from Hulsizer’s firm)  says that the Government will implement quantitative easing:

Pyle tells us in the above clip that they are “waiting” for the quantitative easing, as if it was a good thing….interesting.

You see, one lesson that was learned during the last round of bank bailouts was that the American people really, really do not like it when the U.S. Congress votes to give money to the big banks.  So this time, the financial “powers that be” have figured out a way around that.  Instead of going through the massive headache of dealing with the U.S. Congress, the Federal Reserve is simply going to print money and give it directly to the banks.  To be more precise, the Federal Reserve is going to use a procedure known as “quantitative easing” to print money out of thin air in order to purchase large quantities of “troubled assets” (such as mortgage-backed securities) from the biggest U.S. banks at well above market price.

In the end, all of the inflation that this new round of quantitative easing is going to cause is going to be a “hidden tax” on all of us.

These new backdoor bailouts are going to work something like this….

1) The big U.S. banks have massive quantities of junk mortgage-backed securities that are worth little to nothing that they desperately want to get rid of.

2) They convince the Federal Reserve (which the big banks are part-owners of) to buy up these “toxic assets” at way above market price.

3) The Federal Reserve creates massive amounts of money out of thin air to buy up all of these troubled assets.  The public is told that all of this “quantitative easing” is necessary to stimulate the U.S. economy.

4) The big banks are re-capitalized and have gotten massive amounts of bad mortgage securities off their hands, the Federal Reserve has found a way to pump hundreds of billions (if not trillions) of dollars into the economy, and most of the American people are none the wiser.

Some like to call it “printing money”, as does Peter Schiff in this clip with Max Keiser. This was taken in 2009, and note the flavour of the conversation. Where will the U.S. economy be heading with lowering jobs, lowering wages, and “inflation” by the promotion of more borrowing at the price of “savings”?:

Sniff, sniff…

Couple quantitative easing with the other Obama goal of allowing banks to start the foreclosure racket again, and we can smell the pro Wall Street stance. And, let’s not forget that the foreclosures of homes were the result of the derivative scandal attached to the toxic mortgage debt. In some cases, we had two banks competing to foreclose on the same property that was according to the homeowner paid off years prior. Oh well, who cares – let the foreclosure games begin (again)!

How long can people continue to pay the rent on their own homes?

Really makes one wonder if the push to higher inflation is like taking the plug out of the bathtub in hopes the waters of wealth drain faster. As  the economy tanks, and taxes rise, who will have enough money to go to a game anyhow?

Shifting gears, it’s interesting to note the allegiance shift in campaign contributions over time, of the new  potential Coyotes owner.

With Obama selling his country down the river to Wall Street interests, it is interesting to see who supports the monetary policies and why.

Forget about pulling the plug on grandma….just pull the plug on needlessly tapping the good people of the United States with taxes for a game that will be the least of their worries.

The bottom line is wealth transfer. The rich get richer whether it is the privately owned Federal Reserve and their banker buddies, or the peripheral support of those looking to further the cause. Who pays? – we do. And they are tapping us more and more whether we like it or not.

There is something about quantitative easing and the new breed of real estate scam know as foreclosuregate.

When instututional lenders who bought up to 30 times the value of homes incredit default swaps come a knockin’ to foreclose on property, it is no wonder the foreclosure racket is the new tool to bilk the taxpayer.  The bet against the borrower has incentive to fail. The lenders bet against who they lent to. Conflict of interests abound. And Arizona is ripe for the foreclosure picking it would seem. Hmmm….

Your $300,000 home could be worth more foreclosed than not. $300,000 or 30 times that. Where is the incentive to keep you in your home?Sorry, about hockey….

It would lead us to believe the sports industrial complex may be put in place as a substitution for the fact that they might have us all living in State-run housing projects, on state-funded food stamps from J.P. Morgan, and watching state subsidized sports.

But, at least the President of the United States has promised he will be fixing up the roads – even leading  to the Coyotes games, with fresh, fully funded asphalt.

Infrastructure growth in America will increase jobs, wages, and the like. Of course, it will also put more people dependent on the public payroll (not to be confused with being paid for by taxpayers though – get that straight will you?).

Certainly, there is a shape forming.

Can you see it? The State becoming the major employer in the U.S. ?

Well, at least the new Coyotes suitor is honest – the Coyotes staying in Glendale will cost the taxpayers; they have come right out and said it – no bones about it.

The only true question is will there be “Sachs” of cash for Ice Edge?

Sorry, red alert!

How many months have Ice Edge been in the running for the Phoenix Coyotes? Six, eight? And, they are telling us even at this late stage there may be an issue with financing? The turnip truck is to the left, take a number, I hear they turn corners extra sharply these days!

What on earth?

Tonight, the Council of Glendale (pip,  pip cheerio!) will vote on the viability of Ice Edge. Deja vu, didn’t we just see this with Reinsdorf who is yet again sidelined?

The only real explanation for all of this delay and apprehension is those responsible for  dangling  the debt obligation on the arena lease, or those with the investment money are monitoring the grander scheme of the world.  Daryl Jones is right.

I would suspect that  the money and the debt has been the issue for quite some time. Those holding the power over the debt may be deeply entrenched in the U.S. economy, and have influence. A political tie to more than hockey.

In the last article regarding Mubadala and Goldman Sachs, what I did not mention was that at close to 3 AM just as the article was posted, Mubadala was hot on the trail. They are very interested.

But just in case it isn’t a question of preaching to the choir at Goldman Sachs and Mubadala, we have news for the rest of the interested.

The U.S. economy is being imploded on purpose. The money is being tapped out of the country to the offshore (mob) bosses in all forms of taxation, bailouts, the coming healthcare premiums, the coming carbon taxes, etc.

The balance between income from the private corporations and public jobs is getting more and more skewed. Only 42%  comes from private corporations, but isn’t it private industry that funds all income innevitably? It’s no wonder there is going to be an implosion.  The elite are looking to destroy the economy, come hell or high water.

Debt  payment obligations are expected to tap out all GDP in  approximately seven years from now.

The jobs Obama (aka Soetoro) brags about are the rehiring of census workers temporarily. Are they laying them off monthly and rehiring? What a joke! Bilderberg wants more people dependent on the government, and effectively on welfare. The people seem more harmless that way, and much more easily manipulated. The good news is we are on to Bilderberg and their tricks.

Arizona is in crisis. Illegal immigrants are running rampant, and this is also the case in several other States. There are 17 States that have now joined Arizona in effecting law to do what the Feds refuse. And why do the Feds refuse? They want to create infighting in the U.S., and not enforce law upon the illegal immigrants. The illegals will also create a growing voting force against legal citizens. In short, the Federal Government is not working for the people of America.

The 2010 Bilderberg meetings held in Spain also came to the conclusion that war with Iran in in order. Will it happen now that it has the seal of approval of the global elite?

Goldman Sachs may be behind the potential financing of the Ice Edge Group, or it could be at the direction of Mubadala. Heck, we even had the corrupt at the United Nations checking out Ice Edge. Hockey fans? Please!

Everyone has been playing the stall game with this team and the poor fans of Glendale that are unaware of the forces outside of hockey pulling all the strings.

It’s time for all parties to put this fan base out of their misery, don’t you think?

Time to get off the pot.

Are the “Sachs” of money going to be there for Glendale or not?

What was that Daryl, “financial turmoil in the world”, you say?

Hello Sports Fans!

Did we all just hear Daryl Jones of Ice Edge tie the “real world” into the sports world, specifically the NHL?  Did Jones really mention that global financial issues might affect the financing and sale of the Coyotes? What’s that you say?

For Ice Edge, that would be arranging what could be tightening credit.

The good people of Phoenix (and the rest of the U.S.)  know the problem with getting credit, which is the reason many had to leave their homes. That was the housing crisis.

The bailout funds to the banks, including Goldman Sachs were to free up mortgages, but Tim Geithner, the day after the funds were advanced changed that game, and would no longer tell anyone where the money was going, but it wasn’t to the poor homeowners in the U.S.

As you may have wondered how a blogger on makeiteigheh could seemingly and suddenly change gears into politics, please know that the road was set before me – the path had little choice. I didn’t ask for this to become a political, let alone “global” issue, but I am thankful for Daryl Jones’ comments to Canoe.ca to back it up:

“It’s hard to gauge the probability of this deal closing. One thing that everyone has to be realistic about is there has been a great deal of financial turmoil in the world over the last 45 days, which is going to make it harder for us or any group to close this transaction though we do remain optimistic and feel good about our chances.”

Ice Edge has pledged to keep the Coyotes in Arizona and under the terms of the MOU, they are committed to staying for at least five years.

There is so much turmoil that the original idea of committing to Glendale forever has now also been replaced by five years. And, the group expects to be sold Jobing.com arena should things sour too, no doubt to take advantage of one of the hottest concert venues in the U.S.. In short, Ice Edge are no dummies.

Hockey and the Coyotes has almost become a sub-issue at this point. It was a great ride that began with the exciting possibility that Hamilton and Canada could be honoured with more of the sport we call our own. Fitting really, that a political battle for Canada would be fought as a result of the uncovering of many truths regarding our rights as hockey citizens, and more importantly as global citizens.

Regardless of how Ice Edge fairs in this battle, I wish them well. They have been put in a rather unenviable position I believe, to be the salvagers, not the scavengers. To do a few favours in hopes of collecting at some point.

But as Daryl Jones has mentioned, these boys have some worldly business smarts that are looking at the bigger, global picture and perhaps seeing the very real threat of war with Iran. That would further cripple a U.S. economy already ravaged by the likes of the criminal minds of Bilderberg.

As we mentioned, Charlie Skelton of the Guardian in the UK had been giving us eyewitness accounts of the current 2010 Bilderberg convention in Spain. He called the troupe of brave reporters as guerilla reporters, frequently being detained and left to return to the trenches of real journalism.

While mainstream media in North America turn a blind eye to the real power brokers of Bilderberg, there are tremendous signs in Europe that this group is being reported on from Spain, Germany, and Russia, and more. North America may report on the G20 and leave us wondering why we have a high security cost. If you knew about the seedy side of politics, the underbelly of the beast, you would see why there is a growing need to keep things this ugly in the dark. Yes, it is an ugly agenda indeed.

We have an unsung, potential hero here in Canada by the name of Stephen Harper.

Unsung Canadian heroes?

You may not have noticed, but he seems to have seen the light (at least it looks that way), and is battling the demons of Crime, Incorporated head on.

While the attack of Canada by the corrupt of the world is after our money in the form of bank tax and climate legislation, Harper is resisting with all his being.

But you won’t read about this in the mainstream North American media.

Don’t worry though, we are just getting warmed up. We are ready to follow the global story of good vs. evil to its conclusion, all the while hoping you will join in on the awareness campaign.

What may just seem a distant thought as reflected by Daryl Jones, is a tip of the iceberg hint that all is not well on this planet.

And, our problems have nothing to do with the climate. It has everything to do with the money and control it represents.

Harper knows it. It’s time you did too.
